Ok so lets get this straight, I can pay to become a vendor here and all of a sudden I have moderator powers. This does not seem right. Mods should be unbiased and the second someone can pay to do it that is thrown out the window. If shiv wants to ban him from his forum then so be it, but the entire forum? Bunch of BS floating around this place. I haven't been here long but have seen a lot of the drama, and unfortunatly I am looking for an alternative to this forum already due to the BS and drama.

No, you "cannot just simply pay to be a vendor here and all of a sudden you have mod powers." I'm not too sure where his limitations are, but his powers are only limited to his forum alone. Unfortunately once you get 4, your in Time Out. If theres a pretty good proof to keep you in Time Out then there you will stay, if there isn't then we'll straighten it all out.

No matter what there will always be some type of BS and drama, it's inevitable. If you feel that way about it, then so be it. Were discussing a solution already, it should be announced soon enough.

This whole situation it total bull. How can this even occur. Receiving warnings without any proof of what i did wrong, or even telling me what i did wrong? Let me post you the entire contents of shiv's warning.

Sweft you have been warned by shiv@vishnu! You now have 3 Warnings. The ban limit is currently set to 4 Warnings.

Reason: Don't start on our forum please
Reason: Don't start on our forum please

DON'T START WHAT? HOW CAN THIS BE GROUNDS FOR A WARNING?

If this is not unequivocal bias by a moderator i don't know what is.

This would apply to the whole board, not just shiv’s lame board.

Well let me say, vendors shouldn't be able to hand out warnings. Period. I'll have to bring it up amongst the other mods and see what they say about it. For the mean time, I'll ask Mark to remove it.

I can say i'm pleased that the warning was taken off my account.

I'd like to thank KK and LancerEvoMR for their understanding of the situation and the blatant bias that was involved by a particular vendor. This warning should not have been issued in the first place, and i think KK resolved the issue that allowed vendors to hand out warnings.

Thanks.

You can give Mark a good reason and we'll see from there.

So wait, because the site had a different domain name, fewer members, and the Evo wasnt released yet gives reason for the amount of BS on this board? Im sorry, but I dont think the Evo in the US and more members should cause the technical content of this board to drop.

We have lost many good original members due to the influx of crap. That was my point. I long for the days of no flame wars and childish debates on who can out-tune who. Im sorry if thats wrong.........

Just thought Id explain where Im coming from....

I'm very curious, all of these posts, and Shiv is nowhere to be found to explain his 'actions'. Maybe everyone is starting to realize (even the mods) that the vendors have the ability to weed out 'posts that don't favor their products.'

I can't believe I missed this yesterday.

All I can say is wow...not that I would have forseen this happening EVER, but let me assure you we are making fully certain that the staff members will be the only ones capable of warning, and even our warnings will be better organized and more consistent.

It actually has the most to do with the number of members. Let's say we had 1 or two problems out of every 100 members....at 2,000 members that's tolerable. At 15,000 members it's a problem.

We're experiencing growing pains, but we're taking action with both vendors and members to try to alleviate many of the problems.

That is not entirely true, I am sorry to say. You can defend yourself in a constructive manner that does not earn warnings. All you have to do is keep your writing free from threats, over the top cursing, personal attacking, and general childish behavior.

Though the real solution to when you are being attacked is to hit the 'report this thread' button. We will and certainly do hand out warnings for stupid behavior. If you report that you are being attacked, we will edit the post and hand out a warning.

SC~

We can't stress this enough. You'll be helping the forums at large if you alert us of problems BEFORE They become LARGE problems. We even use the report function amongst ourselves as staff, so if you can use it as members you'd be doing both the staff and ther forum as a whole a great service!
