Turning off the Evom Experience System...

Hi everyone!

The staff has been reviewing our member experience with the Evom Experience System and feel it is time to remove it. The original intent was to encourage participation but the sometimes un-explainable jump in points up and down probably creates more confusion that incentive. We feel the majority of members ignore it and would like to ask IB to remove it. It also is a drain on server resources which if turned off may help our page load times a small amount. Please note that if it is turned off all points, history and awards will be removed. Please vote and post your comments.

Bob..

It's a nice idea, and to some extent I really like it...but it does cause confusion with the unexpected jumps. Free up those resources for some quicker loading

Thanks everyone for your votes and it's pretty clear the direction we should go. We expect the Experience System to be removed this week. Again, all points, bar graphs, summaries, messages etc. will disappear.

If you spend enough time on here you will realize who knows what they're talking about and who doesn't. There were a lot of people that had a lot of experience points because they trolled around all the time, but they didn't really know much

In theory it was good, but in actual practice there were some flaws. I saw a lot of folks that had really low post counts yet had filled up quite a bit of the 'experience' bar. That didn't make sense to me. I still don't really understand that system fully.
Pretty much like was just said, if you are on here long enough you know who are the folks that you can trust.
