the ONLY thing that hood is similar to an Evo 7 hood is the two vents. now all that Evo 8 hood he is selling has is an added divider. there is no side vent on that evo 8 hood he is selling and the curvature of that hood he's selling looks like a stock evo 8 hood.

 

I have seen the hood upclose. It is a evo8 fitting evo 7 style hood.

 

Thats like saying the only thing evo 8 about my headlights is the altezza. besides that its all evo 7

I think it is very unfair to give me a WARNING because I am pointing out a vender flaw.

If we allow this guy to sell evo 7 hoods as evo 8 OEM fit I WILL NEVER TRUST THE MODS OR BUY ANYTHING ON THIS FORUM EVER!

What if I buy JDM evo 6 headlights and recieve US spec or evo 7 headlights!

 

It is to allow EVO 8 owners have the Evo 7 style on our cars.

If you say a hood is OEM fit I want it to look like the hood that came with my car.

 

calvin states, "Evo 8 Carbon hood" .. which in fact this IS an EVO8 hood. he doesn't state "evo 8 STYLE" hood. He says its an "Evo 8 Carbon hood" which means it fits an evo8. nuff said.

if he said evo8 styled hook i could see you correcting him .. but he's just selling a hood which FITS an evo8.

i just read calvin's whole thread, and, forgive me if i'm wrong, but i don't see a single place where he claims it's an OEM evo 8 style hood. i just see him saying it's ... ...actually, following the ebay link, it is listed on ebay as OEM style, and calvin should probably be advised that he might want to change that... but such should be done as a private message to calvin, and certainly not be made into an issue on the public forum. after doing such, if he decides to change the ebay listing, good. if not, it serves the idiot right who buys it thinking it's OEM style after seeing the photograph of it right there in front of them!

EDIT: now looking at what zoo's told us, it looks like that center vent's removable, which would, it would seem to me, create a perfect OEM replica. am i wrong??

just to clear it up for some members, here are pics of OEM 7 HOOD, OEM 8 HOOD AND Calvins hood. i still don't know how you can say that it is an evo 7 hood...

 

ok, so it's a evo7 hood because of the little divider in the vent??? that's it? if you look at the molding, the fitment, even the little reverse cowl leading to/from the actual vent, it's an evo8 hood. the only thing that remotely resembles and evo7 on that hood is the vent (which even then is replacable)

i don't mean to disrespect you, but i'm just stating the obvious.

Calvin is good people and hes been here since i can remember, y he would throw out his rep with one product is beyond my understanding. Look closer and you will see what cleofis and others have stated

 

If you have to do any photoshop it is not OEM fit.

Calvin did an edit on his post. If you goto the ebay he claims its oem there.

By the way, the center part is not removable it is part of the hood!
