The mods are protecting the vendors. I got warned for pointing out a problem!

I would deserve a warning if I was WRONG. I am not wrong and the members should know he is not selling true OEM evo 8 hoods.
I made this thread because you mods are allowing a vendor to sell us the wrong product. On top of that you are protecting him and telling us members it's ok his hood is not OEM.
I will not buy into that crap. It is not ok. It is not ok that he is selling the wrong HOOD!
are u goin to prove me wrong or u gonna keep fussing...its doesnt pay dude...look at mah hood on mah car...hmmm...where is dat hood from....calvin...fits perfect....look at da HID kit i got...**** looks good...hmmm...ohh wait look at da cf spoiler..damn looks good...i dun think dere is gonna be a problem with calvins products

1) This hood does fit the USDM Evo 8 for whom it is produced. This is demonstrated on both blonde's photo posts and personal experience.
2) This hood is sold as for the Evo 8, and not necessarily as an OEM replacement. If it were a replacement OEM hood it probably wouldn't be made out of carbon fiber (unless it was designed for HKS Race Evo-- then maybe an OEM replacement)
3) Chris, you have a lot to offer to the forum but occassionally when you get heated you shoot from the hip rather than slowly digest the material at hand. We certainly want to keep our Evom members both loyal to the site and willing to purchase from our vendors because everyone benefits.
As for the warning being dished out, there was not a need to re-emphasize your opinion with such strong words. Let the vendor react and the other members contribute their opinions and personal experiences with Calvin. The warning will in no way effect your ability to contribute, purchase or modify your EvoM experience. Hopefully in the near future, warnings will disappear after a set period of time for "good behavior".

In Calvins post it stated, "OEM FIT" which means even though it is not true OEM ALUMINUM HOOD, it should still be same evo 8 shape made from carbon fiber material.
Calvin changed his post to make himself look legit. His ebay posting still shows what I am talking about.

On top of that he tells us the Hood is carbon fiber when the hood is really fiberglass with a sheet of CF for style.
Chris,
why don't you just come out and say it. the reason you care so much about that thread even after all of the members said that you are wrong is because you have a personal investment in the issue at hand. you also sell carbon hoods for the EVO 8 but the difference is that you do so without a vendor status.

if you are going to accuse me after i talked to you on 10 pms and explained to you everything and even told you that i will take care of the warning, at least be honest about it and tell the whole truth.
thanks
Snir

the key word here is FIT. That means that it fits on an Evo8 without modifications. My blue Levis jeans fit about the same as my black ones. Same fit, different look.
If anyone here would be called a liar, it would be you Chris. You have stated 2 or 3 times now that that is an Evo7 hood. I dare you to put that hood he is selling on an Evo7. You will notice it won't FIT (there's that word again). An Evo7 hood would fit an Evo7, but you will find that it won't fit the headlight pattern. Also, it is not an Evo7 hood. Look at the lack of the left side scoop, and look how large the center vent is. If you are going to gripe about a thin strip of carbon fiber, then why claim that a side scoop and 4 or 5 inches is nothing? It's like you're missing the whole point.
what's so unfortunate about that?

It is for evo 8 owners who would like to convert to evo 7 style.
Why are you calling me a liar brian? Everything I said is true.
Chris,
Why are you so heated and or passionate on this subject matter? Has this vendor sold you this exact CF hood in question and it doesn't fit and refuses to return your payment.
If so you have a right to be angry. We would also work with Calvin on rectifying the situation if this transpired. However, we collectively as moderators, are not going to correct his symantics or limit his ability to sell products on our forum without reasonable proof.
If the hood fit becomes a major problem with a multitude of members who purchased the item, we will address the situation directly with the vendor, calvinwch and those parties directly affected.
Please don't nitpick regarding the exact composition on the materials used in constructing the hood. For the price a blend of carbon fiber and aluminum is appropriate and will be less likely to sustain damage less due to stone chips and such.
We are asking you again to stop slandering a valued vendor. We appreciate your understanding.

Why do you need to change the subject of the vendor selling evom members the wrong style hood?
How can you call that Evo7 style? It is way too large of a vent and has no side vent. I posted that fact twice now (this is #3) and you seem to like ignoring facts you can't dispute.
And that thing about you selling carbon fiber hoods too... the more you push this the more I see Snir's point that you're just trying to hurt competition.

I am not the one selling evom members the wrong style hood!
I will not protect people who do this!
How can evom members trust your website to buy products if I do not know the mods and vendors are HONEST????

Chris, everybody on this forum except you agrees that it is not a "wrong hood". It fits the Evo8 not the Evo7, it does not look like the Evo7 hood, and it is an Evo style hood that is slightly different from the original design. You're making mountains out of mole hills, apparently in the name of defacing competition. If anybody other than Chris thinks the rest of us are incorrect, please post now. But I advise Chris to stop arguing and read what the rest of this forum says before we come to a final conclusion on your intentions.
