Evo Spec VIII - I agree totally. I hope it's temporary.

 

The db server was not setup correctly, which is fixed now. That was what caused all those error messages. I get an email for each error, so I had thousands in my box till we fixed it!

For the timezone issue, I think it's set correctly on the server and vb. If you alter your own timezone in the usercp it should be correct... at least it's showing correct for me. If you still have issues, I'll check the server time to see if it's way off for some reason. That should be fixable though.

I think I've pinned down what makes the page load time a bit slower on this setup right now. That should be getting fixed pretty soon. We had nifty feature to reduce the page sizes on the old server and it's not yet installed on the new one. With that, the pages should load a lot faster.

The search was fixed after the re-index overnight.

Since the forums were upgraded, I have to recode the new pms feature for the front page, but it'll be returning shortly.

The trader rating values are here, but the code to add/remove/etc will have to be hacked to work with vb3. That should be coming pretty soon though.

I noticed in some older polls, any option with a contracted word (I'm, we're, etc) has a \ in the contracted word (I\'m, we\'re, etc). Not a big deal, just a glitch in the Matrix.

My favorite feature is clicking on "New Posts" (old "Posts since last visit"). On the old setup, my login would eventually timeout, but I would still maintain my "New Posts" listing. With the new version, I lose my "new posts" listing when my login times out. I usually browse all the new posts throughout the whole day. Now when I click on a next page, then I get a message...

"Sorry - no matches. Please try some different terms. "

Is there a way I don't have to read 20+ pages of new posts within my login period?

EDIT: Can you add a navigation bar on the bottom of threads? You use to be able to click on "Home" when you hit the bottom. Now you have to scroll back up.

 

Ok...on the main screen...where it says private messages....it's not showing up that we have new ones waiting to be read. You have to physically go into your messages to see if you have new ones

I haven't encountered this. It always says "X Unread, Total XX". I also get the popup notification.

Ok...well I tried on 3 different computers and I even logged out. Still nothing different. If I go into the private messages it does show me. What I am talking about is the main welcome screen we all get when logging in. Middle of the page...says View PM's...there is no count with new ones so we actually HAVE to go into them and see if we have new ones.

 

My mistake. I start at the forums home, which has the proper number listed.

 

I noticed this too. The question is why did I have the permission before and now don't. I enjoy looking at what everyone's done to their cars and that's how I got to know about this forum. I assure you I am not trying to edit other people's post nor accessing admin features and/or priviledges.
