New Site glitches or problems...report here!

Hi Everyone. With the recent site upgrades and server moves, there are bound to be some small (or big) glitches. If you see one, please report it here.

Do not post your opinions about the new site here. There is another thread in this forum dedicated to that.

Thanks!

SC~

when you post a reply you cant click on the smilies to get em to show up.

also when you do a quick reply it automatically subscribes you to the thread. kinda annoying, is there a way to turn that off in the user control panel?

Unhappy outch!

I love the brighter colors.

I don't like that:

1.) It doesn't work with Mozilla.
Come on ... this shouldn't be a IE6.0 only site!
2.) The selection icons take up a lot of real estate. Less scrolling means more words read per minute. 8-).

Good Luck,

Cheers,

jcnel.

Can't find anything on search... seems like it could only find posts done after the
upgrade...

On post editing screen, click on "Insert Image", "Insert URL".... will generate a javascript
error.

Yes, the search engine appears to be detached from the old site. A simple reindexing is needed?

On the main page... the flash ad banner hovers over the javascript menues. Dunno if anyone noticed that yet.

EDIT: I just noticed this is the case ONLY with the flash ad banners. When Vivid's normal image banner rotated in the top menu works fine.

Kareem. I reported that one to Mark. I saw it too.

If people want to use the new WYSIWYG post editor/compose, go into your user CP page and toggle it. This new editor is much simpler to use than the old one.....and it does not throw run time errors when you use the emoticons.

All the pictures that were posted before the "upgrade"(if that is what you want to call it) are now just links...Are you guys gonna make them appear in the threads like they were before this or is everyone gonna have to download pics to look at them.

Example of this is in the Yellow Lancer Thread in US Lancer Show & Shine.

Hope you guys can make it appear like it was before

Adam

I've got 15 posts, but am unable to use a custom Avatar yet. There is no option showing in the "change Avatar" window.

That's not really a bug, but instead a problem with the rendering of browsers and flash applets. It's impossible last I checked to have any code render above a flash applet.

Search engine is still toast. Registry still down. What about custom avatars? I can't seem to generate one. Vehicle list doesn't show up below usernames anymore - is that by design?

On the plus side, polls now seem to be working for me

I'll test it from my Mac tonight. Safari ... mmmmm

It's working fine for me in both Mozilla 1.6 and Konqueror 3.0.2. So while I'm not involved in this site, I'll suggest you explain what isn't working for you rather than just saying it doesn't work. I know that any bug reports I get about various sites I work on are ignored or at least very low priority when someone just says "it" doesn't work.

What happened to the seller/buyer feedback and rating system?

Also what happened to the nice user ratings like "Newbie, Evolving, Evolved"? I worked so hard to get to the Evoloved state without post whoring.
