Sig Length?

I went to edit my signature, and it errored saying it was too long - maximum 255 characters. I'm almost positive it was 500 characters last time I changed it (last week). Was this change implemented? Or am I imagining things?

If so, that seems like the the wrong solution to a valid point. I keep my sig short (vertically) but it uses a lot of characters to do so (as odd as that sounds). I could make my sig shorter (character count) by eliminating the URL tags and just posting the urls, but that would result in considerably more space vertically, which I'd agree that nobody really wants.

it was probably the quick solution to the problem until a better answer is found.

I am not aware of any changes to the allowable number of characters in the sigs.

My God, what in the hell were you going to place in your sig that happens to pass the 255 character limit?

The URLs take up a lot of characters. I think I'm at 490 or something like that.

Whether or not it has a p in it, you still need it.
