Race car?

Jiminy jillikers! I thought I was buying a nice, plush, fuel-efficient, soccer-mom mobile!

Maybe I should get my deposit back while I still can!

yeah me too i just wanted to be cool like everyone else who says they drive fast

I have never driven my Evolution past any applicable speed limit. I always drive in a car-friendly manner. Anytime that I may have talked about fast driving, road racing, drag racing or just plain crazy driving in general I was lying to get respect. On any occasion that it seemed I was disgruntled with Mistubishi Motor Corp. I apologize. Oh and the mods listed below is a wholly fabricated statement with the lame intention of gaining more popularity on this site.[/QUOTE]

Question is, with or without a site disclaimer, can something like this be used in court, legally? Can your posts be used in court also?

Man my friend threadened to take Nissan Corp. to court, he sent a written letter along with a business card of some big name lawyer, and told them if they have anything further to say to contact the lawyer. He later received a check for the full amount of his car, plus taxes after 2 years of abuse (car was taken in with wheels, suspention, blue flywheel w/ scars, intake and a big @$$ crew sticker across the front windshield. They never called the lawyer, and he is sure of this becasue he never even talked to the lawyer in the first place... Case in point, Nissan is a much larger company in North America and has a few more dollars in their pocket, just go look at a Mitsu dealer and a Nissan dealer. Hell look at the size of the lots...

PS something like this could be looked at in court but wouldn't be held highly as evidence... it would only be used to support another statement. Plus theres no proof that you, yourself are sitting posting.. unless IP's are logged and pulled and point directly to your computer.

Unless your honest and tell the judge yes I post under that name and yes everything I say on that site is 100% true

If I say my name is Jack, then show a picture of my car on another thread, and talk about launching it on a third thread, they can put the three together. It may not hold up in court, i'm not a lawyer. Isn't there at least one of us Evo owners who has a law degree? Anyone?

I think your real issues are with individual dealerships, not so much with MMC NA.

Most warranties seem to be denied at the dealership level without ever making it to corporate. Also, from what I've read, it's usually dealerships "spying" on forums, not so much the corporations themselves.

The 4th amendment to your US Constitution protects against unreasonable search and seizures by the GOVERNMENT (state or local), not private individuals. Secondly, the person objecting to the search must have a reasoable expecxtation of privacy as to the items/property searched. This forum is inherently something that is held out to the public and simlpy implicates no right to privacy. So, you can't prevent Mitsu from viewing the content of the posts. It's public info.

are you willing to go to jail (for perjury) over a warranty claim?

it's a private domain that requires membership. How does that qualifies as being a public domain?

I guess if I goto some country club and spy on people, it's legal. I could see

You only need a membership to contribute information; no membership is required to peruse a thread. If the site was secure and "closed" to outsiders, you may have a bit more ground to claim it's not public domain.

Unless you have a disclaimer on the site, that's what I'm getting at here... the wording of it would need to be drafted by an attorney.
