Barrett Mitsubishi done for?

Anyone else get the call that Barrett is becoming a Kia place and will no longer be doing service for MItsubishi? Going to be a bummer to have to drive down to Gillman to get service. Anyone have any opinions of the service department at Gillman?

Is this true?! From 3 dealerships in Austin to 1 in the course of like a year? Wow. And after all I went through when I bought my Evo, this is like sweet justice. From #1 in the world to closing the doors... unbelieveable.

Never been to Gillman, though the tech Mitsuorder introduced me to at Gillman San Marcos was pretty cool. I dunno if he still works there or not, last I heard he didn't... And not that that has much to do with Gillman Austin either.

I can't believe that, still - other than warranty based service I'll do oil changes etc myself. And I was always happy with the service at Gillman when I had my Scoob. Meh. Gets the monkey from me.

My car hasn't been in a dealer's hands since I did the undercoating recall about a year ago. I need to do the vehicle weight placard recall and this new service action to cure overheating cars... damn I hate going to the dealerships. Guess it has to be done though. Is Barrett service still open? I guess I could call and find out for myself, heh.

I have to do the same thing with the vehicle weight sticker. Sigh...

5000 check? I haven't ever had any service done at a Mitsu dealership.

I didn't make the Alamodome event. It's kind of far for me, being up in Leander. The results show a 30 second course and only 6 runs, so honestly I don't feel like I missed much. I'm going to try to make the last event down at S.A. raceway.

Danger, danger Will Robinson!!! Stay away from Gillman of San Marcos, management changes have made dealings with them rather unpleasant to say the least.

I can not talk about it here, but I can say from my personal experience with them recently that I have never been spoken to, treated, or belittled like this before from anyone, let alone a "professional". They do still have really good prices on parts but that can be found anywhere with a parts guy who understands the value of long term customers.
