Suspension Work

Anyone know of a good place i can get some work doen? I am getting some creaking noise in my front passanger side ball joint area. I dont want to spend 100 bucks for someone to jusr look at it either.

jack car up so tire with creaking noise is off the ground. then see if there is any play in the wheel due to the ball joint. this can be checked by applying coupled forces on the tire and repeat while working your way around the wheel. (coupled forces means to push one side of the tire in, and pull the opposite side out... like trying to "steer" the wheel by hand). if you feel any play or hear any creaking you may have a bad ball joint. that is just the DIY method. an actual shop might have some super expensive ball joint checker that costs 100 dollars an hour to use.

if there is no play or sounds coming from the ball joint after doing the DIY test, give all the control arm joints a good tug. they can make creaking noises too if the joints are going bad.
