So how'd the F1's compare to the FM901s? Were you running stock pads the first time?

The first time (last July) I ran the pads that were in the car when I bought it. But I bought it used, so I don't know for sure what was in there. I'm running Ferodo DS2500s now, just because they're so much cheaper than going to the dealer.

I hate to admit it, but I didn't perceive much difference on the track between the Dunlop FM901 and the Goodyear Eagle F1 GSD3. (Though I do notice that the Goodyears are better on the street in the rain.)

I just don't have enough feel yet. I'm still learning. I'm turning in faster times each time I go to the track; I suppose if I'd reached the point where I couldn't go any faster, then I'd notice whether the tire choice made a difference.

My best at MSR was 1:32; last summer it was 1:35, and the times were far more inconsistent.

My best at TWS so far is 2:07.1 (2.9, counter-clockwise).

NASA-Tx - They have an event in May.

The Driver's Edge - Just missed them; they were there last weekend. Going again next Fall.

Apex Driving Academy - they're the local track school. A bunch of guys on this forum were just there recently. Check the old threads for info.

The MSR site. You can check their calendar for other groups that are looking for participants. Actually, now that I see your list of toys, I'm guessing that you could afford to just buy a membership.
