Need Help: Tranny Removal.

Hey Guys,

As most of us know our beloved EVO have a 5th gear syncro problem. It just happend to me and I was denied at every dealer in the DFW area to get in done under warranty becuase I have MODS. Even though there is a TSB.

So I cantacted the guys at Team RIP and for 828.00 they will fix the problem and bulletproof my tranny. That price include the shipping also(I think). So I some advice as where to take my car to get the tranny removed. I really dont wanna pay out the **** to remove and install. I know it is a big job. SO if anyone can help I would really appreciate it greatly.

Tony

I'm about 99% sure u can't just remove the tranny, you have to remove the engine+tranny, and then separate them. This is the reason you might have to pay out of the *** for it. Might wanna bring the KY

Not true at all. You can have the tranny out in a few hours.

I have my car at a local shop right now. They removed the tranny and transfer case, and I mailed TRE the t-case. They are storing my car there, and when the t-case comes back they are going to reinstall everything. They are charging me 400 for removal and reinstallation.
