Jesus Christ! I'm glad they are going to be ok, and wish them a speedy recovery.

HOW can you total 2 evos? I don't understand. I have done some aggressive driving in mine, and not once been anywhere near losing control. Why would you buy another car if you couldn't handle the first, or any car for that matter. If you can wreck an evo like that, imagine what he would have done in a civic trying the same thing. It would have taken less than 6 months for him to wreck a car with lesser handling capabilities... Enough with the ranting. I hope everything works out for him and his girlfriend.

I was 17 once. 17-year-olds do stoopid sh*t. Young people think they are immortal. It's just the way things are.

(No offense intended to the teens on the board. You'll understand when you're older. )

The parents, though....THEY should have known better. I guess they've come close to winning a "Darwin Award By Proxy".

That's doubtful, IMHO. (No offense intended.)

I suspect that your "aggressive" driving either wasn't anywhere near the limit. Or, worse, you were near the limit and didn't know it.

Enough said!!!! Lets hope these 2 young people make a full recovery!!!! You hear and see car crashes alot these days, and it sux to hear about something so close to heart (the evo community). I have always thought that the evo would make a stupid 1st car. But this just proves my point. Driving isnt a right,,, its a privledge and not to be taken lightly. Granted you could roll out of your driveway and get hit by who knows who????? But respect to the road is paramount. We arent GODS because we drive a badass car!!!!!! Basically what I am saying is that,,, we arent promised tomorrow so keep it safe and know your limits!!!!! If you wanna test your limits then do it at the track. PLEASE keep it safe out there and I hope to meet each and every one of you someday in person and not in the hospital!!!!

All the best goes out to these kids.
Some people just shouldn't own a high performance car, especially at 17...
It's unbelieveable that you can do that not once, but twice!!!!!!!
Oh well, one less A**hole driving something he should have never had.
BUT, on a brighter note, I want his headlights

Wonder what junkyard that thing will end up at...I could use a couple spare parts. Seriously though, 100mph+ in River Oaks....you can't spit in that area without hitting a tree. Glad to see they're ok, but still, that was pretty stupid.

None taken. I am well aware of where the "limit" is, and as the tires have worn this has become more apparent. I may be leaving a little on the table as far as pushing the handling , but I know where I begin to feel out of control and unsafe in this car. I know what I can get away with in this car. Many a boring night has seen my car in large empty parking lots and empty widing roads. I will admit however that I haven't tried to do anything at high speeds. I feel uncomfortable as it is at those speeds, and don't see the need to test my car with those risks.

Glad they're alive.

No to be mean, but that teach the driver a lesson, take it to the track and don't involve someones life. But accidents happen.

Btw, evo spoiler is invincible again.

Dredging this one up from the depths.

Did anyone ever get "the rest of the story" on this? Did the people fully recover from their injuries.

Shame the photos are down. They should be given out with every new Evo purchase.
