Anyone in North Dallas with an Exhaust?

There are about 20 different freakin kinds of exhausts out there. Is there anyone nearby with a nice sounding catback (not too loud, but not too quiet) that I could maybe meet up with one day to hear it for myself?

I've listened to some sound clips on my computer, but that doesn't really do it the justice of hearing it in person.

Depends on what you consider too loud!

My full exhaust includes a SS tubular header - 10.5 hotside - 3" o2 housing - MeganRacing 3" downpipe - MeganRacing 3" high flow cat - Helix 3" catback. I also have GSC 264/264 cams. It's not loud until it hits boost, but you're more than welcome to come check it out. If you're looking for a nice deep exhaust, the Helix is nice and I'd recommend the Megan downpipe, perfect fitment. PM me if you want...I'm in McKinney.

I have 3" Maganflow TBE with cat-delete. Not exactly what you asked for, but I'm near Walnut Hill and 75. PM if you want to hear it sometime...

...if you have a cat-delete pipe :>

The cat absorbs quite a bit of sound. It's a bit loud in the car at certain speeds...but I have not put the Dynamat in the truck yet as planned.

Having listened to it, I don't personally feel it's really *that* loud outside the car. But of course that is completely subjective.

I mean, I've had some relatively noisy cars in the past. Civic Si with intake/exhaust and a Contour SVT with a Magnaflow exhaust, so I don't mind some noise and drone.

It's really only certain speeds/gears/throttle that mine resonates a bit. I too have had much worse. A little Dynamat back there will take the edge off.

Come to the N. Texas evo meet on Sept 20th.

I have Invidia dp and cat-delete and GReddy titanium cat-back. Sounds good. Might be loud to some people, but I like it.

That's what I like to hear!

I'd like to join you all, I'll have to see how my work/travel schedule plays out that week. I'm kind of leaning toward the Invidia N1 catback exhaust. Based on the sound clip in the main forum and the pics posted by the same guy, it seems to be about the look and tone that I like, but I certainly want to check out others for comparison sake.

I'm going to do my best to make the NTEC deal on 9/23. I should get lots of exhaust opinions there.
