NTEC Sept. 20 meet vote

So I went and checked out the I-35 & Loop 12 and there is no Razzoo's at that intersection. I made my first mistake ever

Here however, are the restaurants as follows:
Pappa's Steak house
Pappasitos
Pappadeaux
Pappa's BBQ
Outback steakhouse
Firewater Bar and Grill -- more night club bar, than grill, but maybe decent on a tues night
Bennigans
Humperdinks
Texas Land and Cattle
Joes Crab Shack
Red Lobster
Chilis
Oliver Garden
Red River (don't know what it is)

I am down for Joes or Firewater for trying it out? Where do y'all wanna go?

Cowboy's Red River is a honky tonk...probably not conducive to club meetings (depending on the club :> ) I've eaten at all of those except Firewater...been wanting to try it.

I would vote for Chili's or Fire...but wouldn't mind any of them really.

Pappa's Steakhouse - super expensive
Firewater - extra lame with sugar on top
Red River - country/western bar, very scary place

Maybe for another time, a good restaurant meeting place up in North Dallas is "Plano Tavern". It's off the tollway, just North of Parker directly on the other side of the tollway from Tinseltown Movie Theatre. Huge well lit parking lot and great food.

I'm still open for ideas. I was just thinking around 35/loop 12 area because it is approx. halfway between N. Dallas people and the Arlington/G. Prairie people. That way we can get a big turnout. As for Pappa's steakhouse -- I just listed every restaurant in that area. Just in case someone felt like being super generous and buying everyone's meal

Plano Tavern would work for me. It's 0.75mi from my house but it might be far for the people in Arlington, Fort Worth, etc.

Can anyone else think of restaurants?

How about D&B's in Frisco. There is great parking and also you have Chili's, CPK and the Cheese Cake factory. Plus is you call Mall Management and tell them a non profit club is coming they will provide parking and security at NO CHARGE!

Just a thought.

Now, normally, I would be a nice guy and pickup the tab at Pappa's, but I seem to have misplaced the extra $5,000 that might cost.

Monkey - where do you live?

I'm only about 2 miles from Plano Tavern...I'm near Midway/Frankford.

I'm between Plano Pkwy and Parker on Midway. Right next to Prestonwood Church.

I have a blue evo w/ C-west front. It might be you I've seen on Midway a few times??

Possibly so, Midway is one road I'm on a lot, but I've only had my car for about 2.5 weeks. Actually, the only other EVO I've seen was a BBY with two guys sitting at Plano Parkway and the Tollway. I was going South on the feeder road and just caught it out of the corner of my eye.

I'll be on the lookout for you, right now I'm an 05 Silver, tinted windows, and as of yesterday I have black vinyled over my Mitsu diamind emblems and removed my "Lancer Evolution" badge to prepare for my black UK badge.

I never seen a problem with people getting in under 21. Plus CPK and Cheese cakje have out door patios so you can stare at the scenery and cars.

Are you guys for sure having this meeting on the 20th? I'll be in town on the 21st at 0841 in the morning and would love to meet up with you guys one more time before I ship off. I should have my car back that day aswell. If you guys can't change it I'll understand being that the meet is next week. I'll be in town for three days and then I ship off to the middle east on the 25th. They're actually giving us the opportunity to visit friends and family right before we leave. If I don't see any of you guys this time around I'll be sure to see you the next time I come home .
