thanks for all your responses guys! I found out for myself how completely impossible they are to deal with. Not only were they just plain rude (with the exception of one guy - wish I could remember his name) but they are full of crap. They denied my warranty because of my GAUGES, and after mass amounts of research on my part I am 100% satisfied that they dicked me around.

However, looks like Roger Beasley is opening a Mitsu dealership literally right next to my house. lol I'm kind of excited since it's, well, right next to me and at least it provided another option besides Gillman. Plus, all the Beasley guys seem cool, and they know I live right next to them so I'm hoping they'll be cooler to me. I'll let you guys know if I ever take a visit next door...

Hey, hey, tell us more... I like a few parts guys at the Gillman dealerships, but otherwise I'd not call the Fire Dept. if they were a blaze... Hopefully the Roger Beasley guys can bring a little life back to Mitsubishi in this region. Otherwise it's Subie for me from now on...

Gillman of Austin is the dealership that told me to buy a used ECU and install it since they wouldn't replace mine because the wires had been spliced by the previous owner. However, they were nice enough to not put it in the computer that my car had been previously modded...whatever that's worth.

Anyone have any updates on this situation? I spoke to a salesman (sam I believe) at Austin Gillman and told him my plans on adding a TBE and he said I should be fine...Should I be concerned?

They absolutely can not deny a claim if the modds do not cause the fault. However, you may have to fight the dealer to get anything fixed (cause they are a$$e$). I've had this issue with several dealers. You may want to try Don Herring in Dallas, they will evaluate the whole situation.
