Any Austin TX owners?
Geez, isn't that San Antonio or something?
My coworker lives down there, right around Slaghter and Manchaca. He said that someone with a black evo lives in his neighborhood. I guess with one that close maybe you'll see it around sometime.

Hmm that sounds awefully wierd as I live there and have a Black Wrx and 2 people in that area have asked if my car was the new EVO
I live in Austin, but i drive a Supra. i'm currently debating wether its worth keeping the Supra, trading for an Evo or waiting for the WRX STi. Only thing holding me back is Mitusbishi's abysmal quality.
I got to drive the Evo 7 while i was in New Zealand, and i really liked it. The EVO 8 is really just an Evo 7 RS with cosmetic changes as well...

Well if I'm not mistaken the RS comes with 15 inch steel rims and no power anything or climate controls. So it's probably more like a cross-bred RS/GSR. You get the RS drivetrain (no AYC/ACD), but you get the creature comforts/trim of the RS2/GSR.
But otherwise, yes, it's pretty much a reskinned 7. There are pics of the imported VII RS2's around here and the interior looks damn near identical.

As for me the Suby is holding up pretty well with 35K+ @ 400HP but I feel the EVO has more potential and reliability(engine wise) than the Suby. But I do have a spare tranny and engine fund just in case.
Now you come give me a ride in the supra!!
I live in New Braunfels and am in San Marcos at least 6 days out of the week for school or recreation, picked up an Apex Silver Evo on March 11th, love the car, not real sure that I would give up a Supra TT though, guess it would depend on the condition, on a funny note, I had a guy turn his nose up at me the other day when I waved him up to my car trying to compliment him on it, gleemed at me through the corner of his eye and sped by snobishly as if he didn't even want to be close to such a lowly non supra
oh well, guess I should be used to this type of attitude, seems as though it's all the attention my evo attracts
