hey everyone, just wondering who would be interested in joining us for a formula 1 showing with brots and beer over at my place? the race is actually live at 5am but i wont be awake for that, so we are Tivoing the qualifying and the actual race to see it all comercial free sunday afternoon/evening. if enough people express interest we can get a keg of shiner or something...

the people already going to be there are the formula team from UTA, and friends...

I don't like to watch F1. It makes me jealous. I want to drive one of those cars and I'm jealous of their skills and ability to change on crap on the car while driving it. Stupid lucky people who get to drive them

Kevin, very cool party; I didn't miss the comercials until...no, wait, I didn't miss 'em at all. It kept the momentum of the race coverage like we were there.
When's the next one?

 

It was a bit too late for me to drive all the way to Arlington and then back on a Sunday night. Plus I have tivo too and watched it earlier in the day

 

we are having another F1 party at my house sunday! the dartmouth SAE team will be visiting all the way from whereever dartmouth is (east coast somewhere). we will be doing this sunday evening like last week. if there is enough interest it will be more likely of getting a keg this week (more people for sure). we had 4 evos last week, lets see if we can better that number


for those who missed the first race, this season is going to kick ***. many of the teams seem really competitive this year making for a great show!

oh and kimi raikkonen is gonna win this one!!!

 

I'm in but I have to go back to work Monday, so I need to leave early.
It really was a lot of fun and a very friendly crowd.

Kevin -- we should definatly get a group together and head up to Indy for the 4th of July to watch the UP Grand Prix in Indy. That would be awesome! I just checked ticket prices and they're not too bad. www.usgpindy.com

 

ok, no more F1 race today. we all watched it live last night at 1am.


and monkey, we already go as a group and don't buy tickets for the race. go there, and buy general admission tickets

they are way cheaper, you get to go into the open pits, you get to see practice, qualifying, and the race, and you get the best view in the place if you sit in the secret location which i cannot disclose in a public forum for risk of other people taking them
