Ok here's the deal TMS is holding its "Laps for Charity" event held twice a year to help kids that are less fortunate than the rest of us. this year it is helping the children at Happy Hill Farms (Financially Disadvantaged Children and / Drug abusing parents). Its a great event and i want to do what ever i can do to help the most important thing in the world, or future, (The Kids)

The entry to the event is $25 which is cheep even to take a few laps around the track.

I do work with Scion of Dallas, and helped come up with the idea to help out with this charity event as much as possible. Even though i do work with scions i will always love the dsms and my evo can attest to that. I would really love to see as many Evo's show there support and come out for a great cause.

i think that the scion community is going to meet up prior to the event at one of the local food joints to eat and mingle, and then everyone will be convoying to the speedway from there. all scion of dallas is doing is helping to organize a group of people to go, nothing else so i dont want yall to think its a big thing all about scions as there will be everything from vipers and lambos, to mini vans and pick ups.

so come and have a great time and if there is enough interest then i will keep everyone posted on where we can meet prior to see new people and get some grub.

if you have any questions you can pm me or email me at stewrat@scionfuel.com

Sounds very cool...is there a date for this event yet?

Will there be access to the oval AND the infield track? Any idea?

event date
ok heres how it works its on may 13 (sorry i forgot to post), here's the thing about speed and passing. if you get in with a good group of cars that are pretty quick, they will go faster. if the frontrunners are on the pacecars butt, they will go faster. there are 3 safety trucks which monitors traffic. i have passed them and passed other cars and they dont seem to mind. not everyone wants to go ***** out. thats fine. just dont get your car full of your family and get right in the mix of some fast cars. the stragglers usually fall to the back and run about half a lap behind the other cars. they take the viper club up to 150-160 and you can really tell that they are moving. so what im hoping for is a group or two of just evos and if we cant get enough mix with vettes and vipers so we have some fast cars so nobody ends up with a 100mph lap when we want 150+. let me know if you will be able to make it and what you drive and ill put a list on my first post so we can see how strong we can get...

I did this with the Corvette club and it's a lot of fun. They let you run plenty fast to satisfy your appetite. Amazingly enough, we only got the Vette up to about 130-135mph cause we were being sissy's in the corners.

The infield track is a blast if they do that.

Go ahead and put me on the list. Any idea what times because I do have a prior engagement that evening that I have to attend.

Do we need to do anything here?

Is it a "pay at the door" kind of thing?

I'm suprised only 4 people have shown interest so far.

just trying to get a feel for who might be going
all i was trying to do was get everyone together in an organized group to get atleast one full run by ourselfs. that way we have a better chance to go faster around the track and not get stuck behind a minivan or something.

only bring the minivan if you think you can hang with the big dogs. and if it can well rent out space in the worlds fastest best handling minivans in the world. it will be awsome
