Tree Sap SUCKS!!!

I haven't even had the car for a 2 weeks and tree sap has attacked the EVO already!...This had already happened to my STI but I thought it was overspray from construction being done at St. Ed's but now that this happened to the EVO I def know it's tree sap, and it was prob tree sap last time too.

Anyone have any suggestions for good car detail places? I went to the Finish Line off Bee Caves and they did a decent job for $160 they had to use claybar and what not. Any suggestions?

Well for me a lot of window cleaner, wax, quick detailer, and rubbing with a buffing cloth went into getting the tree sap off my car.

I finally discovered the liquid agent that'll remove tree sap on contact....free of charge

spit....

So what i did was wet the tip of my finger with spit/saliva and then just apply the spit to the tree sap.... voila the tree sap disappears like right away....
I then used a detailing cloth to rub out the stains....

try spit and lemme know if it works for you cuz it sure has worked for me.

Yeah, I'd like to know a good and affordable spot as well... (if there is such a thing) I think I just need mine to be buffed and waxed...

I should do a demonstration video of how well saliva can get rid of tree sap....

why pay someone else to do it when you could do it for free?

Just make sure nobody sees you doing it....

anyway I just spit on my finger and rubbed the tree sap out... and it actually fell on my car in small droplets so it dissolved on contact with my saliva.

Whoever does it will have to use a slightly low pH solution (P21S Total Auto Wash is THE BEST) to really remove the sap. They'll really have to do a VERY detailed job!!! With the sap comes everything else that protects the car; will have to polish (3M Imperial Hand Glaze) then wax

Good luck with a shop that can do this half-way descent

Actually, I needed mine done cause someone put masking tape on the side of my car on a 100+ day and it stayed on for a few days till I could get it off. I used goo-gone and washed the crap out of it but I still think it needs to be professionally gone over. Besides, I've had the car for just over a yr now so it could use it anyway....
