I missed the MSR event due to work. I explained in the other MSR thread. Let me know if there will be a Sunday cruise, guys. I plan on going on my own in Wise/Jack counties if you guys arent going. Gotta relieve a little bit of life's frustrations somehow...

I wish...
Pete and Nick had an uninvited guest all day while I replaced my ss brakeline
It was run next to a chafe point..it worked over a year and luckily waited to "relieve" itself on the track where I was able to run off the road w/out hitting anything
Pete had the very same thing happen from a different shop, same turn, but ran across the other lane of traffic!!

thats not good! which corner was it (i mean, which brake line...), and how was it routed? i just installed some stainless lines on my car, and simply used the stock routing. hopefully it wont be a problem.
the same thing happen to me..
just fully turn your wheels left and right, to be sure that at NO time does your brake lines touch the frame or any body parts of the car... and zip tie them. also be sure to check them monthly..
most likely a two man job..

the left rear
My RMR were too short for the best route, and had a rubber chafe guard that eventually sliipped out of place. I rerouted it to a smoother but still uncomfortable place.
They had a great time saving coupling that negated the requirement of having to take the C clip out of the line on the frame
It disconnects just below the C clip, a big time savings.
Ideally the lines should be long enough to go over everything and loop next to the shock (at least, thats my mental picture of it after 8 hrs in the sun yesterday) I think I'm in the right line of work, I'd go broke trying to make a living at it!!
A big thanks to Nick and Pete for helping me solve the problem, not to meantion the miracle of having a set of lines on the shelf....

Is that why you went straight off going into Rattle Snake? You were right behind the FP car. I saw the car squirm a bit under braking and you went off. The movement looked abnormal, but I forgot to ask you want happened. A left rear failure now makes sense of what I saw. Glad it happened on the track instead of the street...
