Alright guys, so this is what I've recieved from Engine Logics:

Dyno rental will be $1400.00 per day, regardless of how many vehicles will be put on the dyno and it is payable in full before the event start.

Cars running on leaded fuels will be required to purchase a compatible O2 sensor.

All cars dumping by means of a waste gate directly onto any part of the dyno will be charged an additional $50.00

The owner of a vehicle that blows up its engine and spill on the dyno will be charged $750.00 for cleanup and the repair cost to the dyno in the event the dyno was damaged.

Our standard release form has to be signed by each person that has a vehicle dynode.

If the tuner does not bring a helper the attending group has to supply a helper to load and unload the vehicles
Seems a bit harsh to me but it seems like the last respectable place in Texas.

So what do you guys say?

Where's Jorge T at? He organized the last Vishnu dynotune event at Engine Logics a couple of months ago.

With a newbie status you will have to pay extra. Once you get evolved you will be eligible for a discount.

Just kidding.

They will have to firm up a date with Vishnu and Engine Logics and rates for both. Then get a firm head count and split it up. Beer and Pizza extra.

Here are some rough ideas of what the prices will be close to

Dyno time is usually around $100 - $120 / car depending on the number of cars.

EVO VIII
XEDEs and XFlashes cost $995 and $395 respectively. Those who purchase either of these for the Dyno day will get dyno tuning for a flat fee of $100 (usually $250/hr at our shop).

EVO IX
XFlashes (Ecutek-based) cost $750. Those who purchase this will get free dyno tuning (usually $250/hr at our shop)

Those who already have an XEDE can get custom dyno tuned for $275 for one map or $325 for two maps.
Those who already have an EVO 8 XFlash can get custom dyno tuned for $300. Those will EVO IX XFlash can get custom tuned for $200. The limit is 8 cars per day. With a minimum of 4 new customers per day. We can do up to 2 days if there is enough interest. These prices do not include payment made to the dyno facility.

Alright guys, this is the deal.

As of now, the dyno owner at Engine Logics will only lease out his dyno at a group rate of $1400 per day.

Shiv can only tune a maximum of 8 cars per day according to Cajun's post and Cal @ Vishnu (which I contacted and confirmed with 20 mins ago).

This means: $1400/8 = $175 for dyno time.

Facts: the rate is steep, the dyno owner is not budging on the price and I NEED a tune regardless.

My opinion: I don't think this is reasonable at all but I NEED a tune and I'm willing to pay.

The rules: Each person is alotted a "tune time" of one hour. If you require additional services; ie. multiple maps, etc. that eats into the next person's dyno time, you will be required to refund that person's time.

Bottom line: If you NEED to get tuned then you won't mind the pricey dyno time. Please let me know if you are still interested.

*PS. I will try to get a better rate as the week goes by, but the guys at Engine Logics are pretty tight and I don't expect a much better deal.

** Everyone has been pm'd with an update and the first 8 spots will go on a first come first serve basis with the possiblity of a next day tune.

count me in too. although i'm not sure about the buying into the other guy's tune time. has Engine Logics said $1400 for 8 hours? based on previous tunes at other shops locally it takes a bit longer than 1 hour to tune each car so everyone will be refunding the next guy. and with that schedule only about 7 people will get tuned.

You know what, I'm good with my current tune. I'll wait for my next motor. I'll talk to Engine Logics for everyone tomorrow though.
