Locals - Need To Buy VIII Throttle Body

Mine has failed. I hope to find a near new condition or low milage unit locally before I have to order a brand new one. I am not looking for a modified unit or one that was removed because it leaked, etc.

Thanks!
Ethan

whats wrong with your TB ethan? you can rebuild them for like 10 dollars if it is leaking. i had to do that to mine. i'll rebuild yours if you don't want to do it...

Nothing is wrong with it. I bought it on the fourm for the stepper motor. It was cheaper to pick up this one then to buy the stepper motor from Mitsu. It doesn't need to be rebuilt. I picked up from someone who went with a larger TB.
Thanks,

It's sucking air in at certain blade positions. Mine is the ported Buschur unit. I know I can replace the seals, but there is staff play as well...and the unit is only a few thousand miles old. Tim told me it always behaved a little strange, so I thought that Buschur may have messed it up during the port job/rebuild.

Unfortunately, I'm busy driving the car to work/school (gently) and have not had time to disassemble it. I figured on swapping it in the mean time to solve the problem for now.

I appreciate the offer though, and I may take you up on it if I'm too busy. Thankfully the semester is almost over and I should soon have plenty of time to work on the car.

As long as the sealing surface is smooth and undamaged. I am contemplating going aftermarket tho. How much do you want for it?
