Jestr Tuning Day in Texas (Jan. 20)

OK, we're on a roll now.... We've got Jestr and the dyno ready to go for Jan. 20, and 19th if needed.

Jestr's website: www.jestrtuning.com
EngineLogics website: www.enginelogics.com

To keep this organized, and so that I can modify the first post of the thread, I'm going to start a new thread called "Jestr Tuning Day in Texas" in this same sub forum.

So here's where we're at, Jestr needs a $100 deposit via paypal to get your name on the tuning list. I'll need $100 deposit via paypal to get your name on the dyno list. The tuning list and the dyno list should match!

Jestr's paypal: jestr@jestrtuning.com
dubbleugly's paypal: badanna@earthlink.net

The final day to get your money in is Jan. 5, that'll give Jestr time to make flight arrangements and get a decent deal on airline fare, plus if we cancel for whatever reason after that date, I lose my $250 deposit on the dyno.

The way I'm approaching dyno time is...... based on Jestr's input, a stock turbo'd car (single map) will need about an hour. A stock turbo'd car with multiple maps, or a car with upgraded turbo/injectors will need closer to 1.5 hrs, and cars with more than that, 2 hrs. This is for scheduling purposes only! Real times will vary, and that's how we'll determine how much you owe. So please post when you've made your deposits, and your list of mods and preferred dyno time so that I can keep the list of people straight.

Saturday Jan. 20 (updated 1/18)

8am-9am --------Inprogress (stock turbo w/ boltons)
9am-10am ------Slowcar (stock turbo, boltons, meth)
10am-11am ----Dubbleugly (50trim, cams, meth)
11am-12pm ----hurley (stock turbo w/boltons)
12pm-12:30pm ------Lunch
12:30pm-1:30pm ------Kee1pride (stock turbo, cams, maybe more)
1:30pm-2:30pm -------tkdabb22 (stock turbo w/ boltons)
2:30pm-3:30pm -------Swordfish (stock turbo,cams, meth)
3:30pm-5:30pm -------Epidemic (GT3071, stroker, cams, etc)
5:30pm-6:30pm -------Open
6:30pm-7:30pm -------Open

dubbleugly01,

Deposit, paid! I'll have to get with John about time... I'm already "remote tuned" by him. So if I don't get the alky kit in/installed in time, it will just be a quick "fine tuning". However, if I get the alky installed, it may get a little more long winded.

I need at least a mid morning slot on Sat...

Payment sent by me also, can I have the earliest slot possible saturday?

And since I already have his m1 flash, if it takes .5 hours on the dyno, do i pay for .5 or do i pay the full 1? Just asking, thanks.

Oh and my mods are:

Evo IX with:
Ichiba 3" downpipe
Megan Testpipe, Catback, and o2 Housing
Walbro Fuel Pump
AMS Licp
Apexi filter intake w/maf adapter
Forge MBC (If Jestr recommends it over keeping the stock bc for my mods)

list updated with times and mods.

Zeus, let me know on the alky, if you don't have it installed in time, we might squeeze you down to 30-45 minutes for planning purposes since you'll only need a "touch-up".

Inprogress, same thing, if you're just getting a reflash without any significant changes to the car, we might squeeze you down to 30-45 minutes for planning purposes. You'll only pay for the dyno time you use, but that includes the time from when the prior car rolls off the dyno, to the time your car rolls off the dyno.

xLancerEvOx, you need to send a deposit to both paypals, one for the tune and one for the dyno. Jestr will be tuning your stock ECU, so you don't need a standalone. Estimated prices are $350 for the tune and about $150 for an hour on the dyno for a total of $500. That doesn't include tax.

Guys, my project has stalled severly, and I know that there is no way I'll have my custom turbo set up finished in time for the Tuning session.

You can remove me from the list, and someone else can have my spot.

Good luck guys!

You can get a base flash through the mail, and save the dyno fee if that's all your looking for. If you want a custom flash for basic mods, per Jestr, it should take about an hr. or a little less.

can you please provide a link to a tuner that takes at least 2 hrs minimum to tune for basic mods? I haven't seen that standard before. Thanks in advance.
