Anybody going to HIN?
Anybody going to HIN?
Just curious. I had forgotten about it until came out of 2f2f last night and had a flier on my windshield. Was kind of wanting to go just to check it out one time but have a prior engagement this evening and don't want to go and pay that kind of jack if I am not going to get to stay very long.
Went there...did that...
I just got home from going. Not bad and got some pics I'll post later on my site. Probably around the same time I post the rest of the pics from the auto-x event. They had some nice cars and a few EVOs. The EVO VII from the 2F2F movie was there and so was the EVO VIII that Pepsi is giving away on their site.
I didn't stick around for the bikini contest or booty contest or whatever they were having but I did get a few pics of some of the models that were there for those that are interested.
Circuit City had a large booth where they had performance parts that they were displaying/selling. I was not aware of CC selling these kinds of things nor do I care to go shopping for them there.
All-in-all, not bad but I don't think that it was worth the $25 admission. Way too many S2000s, 350Zs, Civics, and Integras. Without these four cars there would have only been about a dozen other cars there.
Anyone else who went have a different take on it?

I was there from about 6-8:30 pm
The highlight of my evening was getting to see Master P, which should tell you it wasn't that good. Next time I will not waste my $32. The 3 EVO's were nothing much to speak of. The black was stock, the green 2f2f duplicate was a stock evo 8 that they repainted to look like it, and the only modified one (Pepsi) was was roped off. Overall it looked decent, except for the wing, which looked way out of place. It was much wider than the car, which could be ok except it looked like it was from a much wider car, and really didn't fit well.
The only thing I thought was funny, was watching people walking around with their new street glow kits, and people taking the business cards from some of the cars that were "interesting".
Even the Nismo booth was pretty lame. The breakdancing contests would have been better if they were up higher so you could actually see them (and I am 6'3").
The highlight of my evening actually came driving home on Westheimer, when somehow I lined up with 2 corvettes (including a stingray) and a mustang GT at one of the lights.
Street racing is bad, so thats all I will say about that

ya, the show overall was fun, i agree for people who came to spectate it was not worth the expence. got to see alot of people and had a great time with my old crew. didnt want to show my car like it was, but it was great to meet alot of evo enthusiasts. Would have been nice to have my work done already, but that will take time. all in all, i had a great time, but very sore from setup and and clean up.

Kind of glad I did not end up going. I would have gotten there pretty late and felt like I had not gotten my money's worth. I would still like to check out a show like that one of these days just so I could say that I have.
?Looking forward to seeing the pics jtech.
Here are some pics of the PEPSI Evo for jigglyp83. Sorry for the poor quality but the lighting sucked at the show. I guess it was done on purpose so you couldn't actually see what some of the cars looked liked.
