Fred, my friend. Long time no hear from. Leave is coming up pretty soon. I'm under a month. Yippee! You're already aware of the parts I've bought since being here. The last few things that I want to buy is the Injen intake/intercooler piping combination, BR ported/jet coated manifold, and the Hotchkis lowering springs. Other than that, everything is all set.

there were some people who wanted tunes and or work done in late july, so thats when i'll be planning on. if you would like it done sooner, throw a date out there some weekend, and if we can get a few cars interested, i'll drive on down there. would you preffer earlier then late july?

I want a tune, and I'm right here in Dallas!! I know you have a super busy schedule especially this weekend. Just let me know when you are up and running again and we'll go from there.

Would you be interested in Tuning an STI UTEC? After talking to some people about what you used to tune at UTA, I think you could do it.

hey quincy, i'll let you know after this weekend when things slow down a bit ( hopefully). you still using the autronic? you and kelly both...

8upyourv8:

yeah i have tuned E85 before, but not on an evo yet. i can without a doubt do it though. if you are serious about it, just let me know. i've done a bunch of research into it and had one of the program leads of the new acura LMP engine as a mentor

our race car ran on E-85, it was a 250cc four cylinder 4 stroke, 16valve DOHC, with a turbo so basically like 1/10th of an evo engine. oh, and it revved to 20,000rpm... Mmmmmmm

heres a vid of E-85 tuned race car:

(and the flames were from us playing with the decel compensation

and the same car on the dyno:

evog8r:

i can tune with the UTEC, however my STi knowledge is for the most part rookie still. i'm going to make an effort to start tuning STis after this weekend (moving into a new home), because you are one of many people looking for me to tune them.

Me and Kelly both are still using Autronic (I spoke with him yesterday) as of now. I have always wanted my stock ECU reflashed with a custom map though for different reasons reliability being the main one and passing the state inspection test a close second. If my memory serves me well, Mark over at TurboTrix was the last person to flash my ecu over two years ago when I had my stock turbo and alky kit.
