Citation

So I was driving minding my own business when a cop decides to pull me over. He comes over and says "I pulled you over for illegal window tint and no front license plate" and then gives me a citation. What should I do? Do i have to remove my tint and put a front license plate now? Does this go on record or anything?

Your citations were dropped? I mean I see cars everywhere with no plate and darker tint then me, I guess I'm an easy target since I have a big wing and a loud exhaust.

youre screwed,,,!! :-) insurance doesnt see em, so pay em n move on, or temp. put the plate back on and show the judge w/a photo; he usually will dismiss it, same w/tint if you want to go to the trouble... i get a plate warning from DPS everytime i see one!

Contact a lawyer for advice, it's the best thing to do. Living in the FTW & Arlington areas, I've always used James Mallory to take care of traffic tickets. You sould be able to simply call the office and ask your questions. (I think there are limitations to where he does business though (Tarrant County)

I think I can fight with the front plate since theres so many without them getting no trouble, I just dont know about the tint. Im thinkin of just saying it came with the car

when i went to take care of my speeding, speeding, speeding and no front plate (long story, basically harrassed) : the front plate was dismissed cause it was an "ignorant citation", and the rest were just pay $600 and get probation for 180 days...

A word to the wise...every state has a front license plate law--its enforced at will...I have been pulled over at least 1/2 a dozen times--not ticket just warnings...as for the tint--same thing I think every state has a tint law and 5% aint going to cut it...that one cost me 250.00. The judge doesn't care about your excuse...so going on about the car having these items when you bought it aint going to float...fix the issues and no more prob..., bring picks of your car fixed to court and reciepts and get off for the majority of the fines or fight the law and the law wins and pay all the fines and still have to fix your car..

Michigan didn't have a front plate law. when you register a car they only give you one plate. unless it has changed in the last 3 years (when i lived there last)...

Ya not all states have a front plate law. I know Mass. doesn't have one nor does Virginia. Unless 90% of people disobey and don't have one.
