Help.....

Well now I gotta figure out what's wrong w/ my car..... I took it down lime creek rd. pushed her pretty hard. On the way home sitting at lights the idle started jumping up like 500rpms every second and the boost feels weak. Is it possible for a boost leak to affect the rpms like that?

Like whoosh said check you vacuum lines. Also check all your charge pipe connections and make sure they are secure. Your car will run like crap if one of your vacuum lines or charge pipes are loose or completely off. It will smoke out the exhaust pipe also if you get on it. If everything is secure for sure then check your plugs. Then the almighty compression check.

Or as Whoosh could tell you, make sure the settings for the tune are right. If not you might want to skip straight to the compression test.

Check all your connections first. It is most likely something simple. Don't get to worried until after checking everything. If you can not find anything simple then like I said compression test is next. Little things can seem like all hell is breaking loose. The person who tuned your car I hope would tune it a little on the safe side, which I am sure he did.

Yep, tuned by chris at ams, was only running 20psi, on my set-up. Pretty safe.

Found the problem, the seam weld on my intake manifold gave. I let the car run, tapped the throttle from under the hood and listened to where it was coming from. I could see the seam separating a little everytime it made a whistle sound. I'll be taking it off and getting it welded together shortly, the ****ty thing is, that I just put my other car in the shop today for an a/c compressor. when it rains it poors.

Good to hear is was something well not real simple, but a lot better than something else.
