I am from NY, and I am in Austin, Tx for two weeks. I would like to know where to go or do while I am here. Any track, racing, hot shops or car shows would be nice. I do not mind traveling, so whereever I can go is okay with me. Thanks

 

Look up texas motor speedway. At least, I think that is what it's called. There should be 1/4 mile tracks in your area too. I only know what is down here in Houston. Hope that helps you a little.

 

U can always goto the car meet on 620 and i-35 (old albertsons parkinglot) on saturday about 6-630

 

If you're looking for entertainment, there is 6th street, Buffalo Billiards on 6th (pool, shuffleboard, darts, etc.), barton springs, greenbelt (hiking/biking), any of the lakes, ironrock raceway (kart racing), Draft House (movies) , a few decent golf courses near dt, San Antonio Raceway (drag strip/1hour from austin), Barton Creek Mall, Oasis (Cool dinner place, fun drive), Rivers in New Braunsfels + Schlitterbahn. It all depends on what you're in to.

 

Just like LP, there’s going to be plenty of things to do in Austin without involving cars..
It’s a great city to hang out and be out doors.
But cars are fun too, have a good time what ever you do…
