hey guys...READ ME!!!!!!!

howdy everyone for ppl i know and ppl that joined that club that i havent met yet! just its been a while since i been on here and thought i would stop buy....though i was trying to avoid it cause i miss my car rediciloiosly(sp?)!! well for those who dont know im in Iraq right now...doing the army/infantry thing. its going good....working on the 2nd month right now....and damn it sucks....it seems like the 2nd deployment is worse than the 1st one. anyway i am totaly having car withdrawl....its like a crack head without crack....****in crazy (im reduced to reading car reviews on the evo via internet). anyway....

how is everyones car doing??? Kelly is ur car running alright now?? and does Jim still have his evo??? lol. also Kevin....i hope ur still installing parts cause when i get back u are going to have ur hands full... . So how is everything going back in the EVO Land?

And for those who want to know....yes my brother is taking care of my car....its garaged and he drives it 2 times a month....warms the motor up then drives it about 5 miles, giving it some beans then letting it cool down before its garaged again....so this was when i come back ill have my 2004 with like 28,000 miles on it....and ready to be modded!!!

ok, know to the good stuff....and everyone is going to have to help me on this. I already played to get a new EVO9 front bumper, and carbon fiber hood; to take care of the little damage that i have... ok now i havent been following the the aftermarket scence since i left for lack of internet and lack of time to sit around and read millions of fourms. i know since i left and probly by the time i get back there will be new and better parts for 2004 Evo 8 RS. Kevin my target is HP as of now is 400-450 whp, keeping the motor stock as possible (or going crazy and building a badass 2.0L motor that can take a beating or part of the motor....cause a high revving I-4 is sexy...mmmmm F1 cars..)....and spending around lets say......$6000 give or take a few. (clutch, intercooler, turbo is the FP Green still good or is there better?, injectors, cams, cam gears, electronic boost controller, IC pipe, intake, and meth injection. and coilovers, nice and stiff, circuit style) anyway....it will be badass and fun. so hopefully kevin reads this, get me a good list of parts and prices if you can + labor cost. just PM me and we can discuss further.

i also plan on a DD....like a civc or something for all you guys saying ahh bad DD....plus i dont know how much gas is back home now.

anyway hope to hear back from yall! throgh some pics up...keep then lowband friendy cause my internet is slow/ alright guys! have fun and enjoy the evo now...cause i cant... but soon will!!!! talk to you guys later....and fyi ther is rumor that i might get leave sometime in OCT/NOV for 2 weeks, and ill see you then....get a meet together or somthing as soon as i find out the dates.

oh yeah almost for got....is the 2.3L AMS evo running in dallas yet....sorry but i forgot the guys name...Greek one, caymen s....im horrible with names....i will buy you a bottle of Ouzo when i get back.

and if Don Herring reads this i might be interested in an EVO X if it gets good reviews by tuners and the EVO threads, and if you can give a 2 time veteran a good deal.

alright guys im done for now, ill try to check on here more often to try to catch up on new EVO news, parts and what not.

later,
Andrew

Hey Andrew, its great to hear from you. It's ok I'm terrible with names also. The car was running but I broke the transfercase and it's been down for a little while now. It ended up making 567 at 28lbs of boost, but Kenny had to stop tuning there because my intercooler pipe kept blowing off the throttle body. I finally saved up enough money to get it fixed again, so she'll be up and running again soon I hope. Again its great to hear you're ok, and stay safe!

Hey Andrew, you can take my spot for the new Evo X coming out in Feb. (Just ask Don) I won't be able to afford it due to a blown motor costing me my livelyhood. However, my rebuilt 2.3L motor is running like a champ, and making great hp.

I had fun riding with you at MSR last time you were here..

Andrew, did your brother tell you he's only driving a couple miles a month? Last time I saw him he had put like 30k miles on it mostly as Kelly's guest at MSR!

Seriously take care and thanks for your service
