Casual AutoX/Tracking?
Casual AutoX/Tracking?
So I've had the Evo for a couple months now and I am itching to track it. But I don't necessarily want to get hard core into AutoXing or anything...just want to hit the track a few times a year. What's a good way to get into that (realizing I am in Austin and I don't think there are any tracks closer than SA...)?
Thats the safest thing an EVO owner can do; learn the limits of the car off the street..
Still not sure what kind of track time you're referring to....Did you all consider coming up for the EVO MAXX event a few weeks ago? It included a track day at MotorSportsRanch w/members at members prices ($20/25min. session) which came to about 80cents/minute of driving vs autox which at $30 minimum for a max of 360 seconds of driving=$5/minute of driving not to mention the hours of corner work required. Somebody check my math, my head hurts
but you get the idea
Some of the track schools are a good bang4thebuck as well. Its all about safe seat-time

There is an event at SAR with the Austin Club. I plan on attending this one. You can go at your own pace. Check out - www.spokes.org
