Uhm, in my garage. What's at the 5k service? Oil change and filter or something?

I guess your choices are Barrett, Maxwell, or Gillman. I wasn't fond of Barrett's sales staff, but the parts guy seemed nice enough. I also happened to meet the tech who PDI'd my car and he was cool. The shop foreman was also really helpful on getting the stock alignment specs faxed to me when I called in to ask for them. The guys in the parts department at Maxwell were also pretty nice to me the few times I went there. I have not been to Gillman.

Obviously none of this really speaks about the quality of service or competency of the service techs though. But for something like a 5k, I'd imagine you could actually do the stuff yourself. IIRC it usually involves more of checking things than actually changing things.

i have had bad service at the gillman in austin. the san marcos one is great though. they fixed the both problems i had(leaking radiator and slipping tranny) without any questions. took em 3 weeks and there is almost no line so no one really knows about that new dealership. i had a rental car that day and it only took em 15 min to get to my car... not like austin who tookk two whole freaking days

I get everything done at Maxwell (183/burnet), they kinda owe me so I don't really care.

I get my service done at Barrett. So far service has been great. They're just north of the intersection of 1431 and 35.

I would definitely go to Maxwell. I just bought my Evo from there and those guys are pretty awesome. I got it for $30,399 out the door.
