sorry i couldn't come out more... after the weird al concert i went out with my buddy matt and we were just goofing off since i hadn't raced him since i did the mods to my car. he drives a 91 240sx and we couldn't catch a red light so we just went from a 30mph roll and neither of us pulled... we were just neck and neck so we kept pushing harder and harder. About 85mph he pulled about 2 feet on me and we finally ran outta road about 95mph and slowed downa nd stopped. neither of our radar detectors went off or anything, but low and behold here come the cops. we explain the situation and i talked to the cop and he told us about the $500 fine for drag racing. After a few minutes i think the cop realized we weren't the kind of people that normally do this and we weren't punk kids and really were being stupid and realized that so we got off with a warning. I decided i was gonna go get some sleep and i don't think i'm ever gonna push it on the street again. very scary situation for me.

No ****. The cops seemed to come out of nowhere that night. We saw a high speed chase Friday night in I-10, then it seemed like every time someone would spin tires leaving a stop licht, they were pulled over by a cop that wasjust blended in with traffic. On my way back, I ran in to a scarry situation. I was driving through Tennessee (cops there are very strict) and a car was trying to merge on to I-65. I got over into the left hand lane so he could merge. I was cruising right at 70 mph (legal limit on that road) and as I get left, I notice this newer Crown Victoria hauling *** behind me. He doesnt have a light bar or anything that screams "cop" so I just mind my own business. He gets right on my bumper. I mean, there was probably 6 to 8 inches between us, and we are traveling 70 mph. At that point I knew it wasn't a cop, so I leave it in 5th gear and stomp it. The car jumps to 80 fast and it's at 90 before I am fully off the throttle. As I get around the car that was in the right hand lane, i get back in the right lane so the asshat can pass me. Instead, he gets right behind me again. this time, I rest my foot on my brakes and have the brake lamps come on. He finally pulls around me. As he gets around me, here is what I noticed. 5% transmission window tint all around. Rear window had cut out sections in the tint for the pretty blue strobe lights that sat on the rear deck. Rear trunk had about 5 low-height 2-way radio antennas.

I don't really have a problem with the cops exceeding the speed limit, most of the time, they would miss everything f they poked around like the rest of us. What I have a problem with is that when a cop rides your bumper like that, he is endangering you and himself. You really think that Crown Vic could stop as quick as an Evo if a deer was to jump out in front of us?

Some cops just think they have the baddest cars on the road and there are no 4 door cars out there that are more performance oriented than their Crown Vic's. Boy, do they have something to learn.

Well, I am back in KY now after being in Virginia for about a month.

Scott / Justin: We will have to meet up when I get back to MS in Oct. I am looking to start the drive down on Oct. 5th and will probably not get started till about 3 in the afternoon because I will be lazy, so I won't drive all the way through in one day like I did last time. I will be signing the contract on my new place on Oct. 7th, so I gotta be there before then. Scott, I am for sure wanting to go to SB racing school in a few months or so. I have to find out when I will be in port for sure so we can plan it out.

I finally got off my *** today and gave the Evo her first waxing. I used Meguire's liquid Gold Class and HOLY HELL! I wanted to make sweet love to my car when I got done. I will post some pictures of it after I install some more goodies that will be here tomorrow. I will put them on and then snap some pictures. Oh, and in case you guys are wondering (cause I remembered we talked about it) the Escort Solo 2 Radar detector is worth it's weight in gold. It has already saved me from having my car impounded twice (no, not from street racing....long story...but a hell of a time) and I can't even guess how many basic speeding tickets it has saved me from.
