You said the magic words!!!!
There are several of us in the Arlington area that feel like a perfect weekend would be two days in an Evo!!! (an we've done it too!)
I'm out your way (Stephanville)at MSR regularly and some of my favorite twisties short of the Hill Country and AK are near you; so send me a pm (I keep my favorite roads a secret )
we'll give you a call soon...
otherwise call me when you're near 360, we several active EVOs down here in South-NTEC Then we can do some southern twisties...

Thumbs up finally a chance to put kevins work up against the numbers

went to a 1/8th mile track friday night, and with a crappy launch that spun my tires for a while, i still managed to pull a 1.85 60' and ran a 7.89

im very impressed with the work. now i just need to work on my driving skills

within 10 minutes of i-30 and loop 820.

i went to denton because a guy from my gym with an ss camaro wanted to race, so he invited me to run him and his v8 buddys.

North Star is a nice track. after you run, theres a drive-thru type building you get your time slip from. no getting out of your car and walking to pick it up. ive only been to kennedale before that so i thought it was pretty cool.

i might do kennedale in a week or two on a thursday or sunday night. ill send you a pm or text a day or two in advance. ive never run a quarter so if ennis does sunday nights ill do that.

Kevin, I know this is short notice to say the least, but I was thinking about driving up there Thursday evening (leaving work early, you know) or Friday for a boost leak test and see if things are running smooth. I think it's a boost leak because it sounds like someone is trying to suck through a straw that's too big. When I'm driving it sounds like it's coming from the intake area but again, determining air flow/leaks is a tricky thing judging by hearing alone. I thought about having one of the shops here take a look at things but the only thing they were interested in talking about was why I was street-tuned and not dyno-tuned. I don't have any time for that. I'll give you a call tomorrow before lunch to see if you can squeeze me in. I appreciate it.

after reviewing my PMs, text messages, phone calls, voice mails, etc... i have a 13 car waiting list

the good news is some of those cars are easy jobs and wont take long. but bare with me as i schedule, coordinate, and work through everyones needs.

on a side note, i can now do a clutch job on the 5speed evos in 4 hours 45 minutes by myself (ok, a little help manning the engine crane while i lift the tranny back in place) in the garage with no lift. that was with a downpipe that gave me trouble, a bathroom break, and the worlds slowest pump for filling the transfercase with diaqueen... that took 20 minutes by itself.
