kevin d tune

well i drove out to dallas this past weekend and had kevin install a ported mani, cams , and tune my car, he also did a boost leak test and fixed a couple of other things and all i have to say is that I'm very happy with the results. kevin was very patient and worked on my car from 3p to 10pm, i really appreciated that because i drove from houston and i was planing on driving back that same day. he did the port on the spot and had to fix my trottle body because it was leaking. he answered all my questions and was very professional, kevin know is stuff and i would recomend him to anyone with an evo. i plan on geting my evo green or 35 and making the trip to dallas again when the time comes. everyone in dallas knows about him but i would recomend anyone in houston to make the drive down if they need a some work done or a tune. the prices are also very reasonable. at 23 psi made 380hp and 340tq with tbe, o2 housing, evo 9 turbo, 255, licp, ported and coated mani, aem intake, hks i272 e264 cams, mbc.

Those are some pretty good numbers for pump. Looks like a great guy to deal with.

Kevin, I don't know what you do for a "normal" day-to-day job but if word continues to get out about you in the South Region, you may have to change professions. Still no word on when Uncle Sam is going to come off of my travel voucher money.

Without a doubt, I have to say that from this point on Kevin is the only person that will ever do work on my car. I arrived in Irving at 0800 (to the second) and Kevin installed my clutch, cams, boost controller, fuel pump, and a custom tune...not to mention taking a break to do another custom tune...not to mention that we ate lunch and dinner in between filling up nearly two complete oil pans (in which I think I own the record) and running to Wal-Mart looking like two campers in the middle of the night. I must say that Kevin treated my car as if it were his own and the drive back to Fort Hood, arriving at 0439 the next morning (that's right...the next morning) was completely worth it. Heck, I even had the fortunate opportunity of running against a 5-series that was feeling "froggie". Hey, at 0330 on I-35 on Monday morning just doesn't have too much traffic to worry about. The car feels like a small train now and I can't wait for the methanol to get added/tuned. I'm really impressed with the EVO love up there in Irving and I plan on coming up there more often even if it does mean driving back at 0330 in the morning. Kevin's meticulous attention to detail can't be debated and to all of y'all who are close to Irving, it'll be a shame if you let anyone else work/tune on your car. I'm a fan of the mad scientist to say the least. I appreciate your better half's putting up with us going in and out all night. "Q", it was nice meeting you, brother. Those two freight trains that I rode in really have me thinking about stepping up to at least the AMS or Buschur .50 Trim but for now, I'll just spend the $1400 on the methanol kit!
