I guess I have myself to blame as well since I left the face on it. Complacency is a MF'er.

Yeah that was me who watched his stroker evo get driven away.

Sorry to hear about that. I would not think twice and would get a two way alarm and a lojack or similar type of tracking device. Don't do a single thing until you get an alarm. These guys know what you got and couldn't get the audio setup out so you know it is likely they will be back to finish the job. That could mean taking the evo outright. That is the best advice I could have gotten from someone around my area who had his evo broken into and column busted up in a failed evo theft. I did not act fast enough and now it my evo is gone.

I thought about this a little more and I am certain they need to cover the head unit, but only for the stock price unless you specify a rider to your policy for after market equipment.

I used to work in claims in college (Nationwide) and my wife was an adjuster for Farmers. I remember how retarded agents where when they where dealing with customers in claims. I would always have to set the story straight.
Even my mom (E-surance Agent) thinks that doesn't sound right, but every state has different laws governing what companies can get away with.

Anyway, as with the others. Alarm is your friend. Get one with the proximaty beeper thing that lets you know when someone is breaking into your car.

Update....

I talked to a guy in my neighborhood, who has a turbo'd accord and 240w/ an engine swap, and they hit him too, right at the same time. They smashed his window in as well, but he heard it and ran out w/ a 12 gauge. He said it was three young guys, we think they are probably from the neighborhood. He got a shot off so hopefully they got some pellets in thier backsides.
I had an adjuster come out and look at the car, they said they would pay 250 for my stereo, that's the max they would do since I didn't have my audio equipment listed. So hopefully I can find a place to fix it it looks like mostly connector damage, if anybody knows any places hit me up.

And Mitsuorder thanks man, I got your message and I've been meaning to call you, I've been a bit under the weather for the last couple of days, I didn't go to work today. But I'm ready to make some moves. Baby is coming in less than 2 months and it's gettin, and it's gettin, it's gettin kinda hectic. Two car seats in the camaro ain't happening! All this crap complicates my clutch matter even more because I need to have window fixed before we do the clutch, and I'm going to have to pay for towing to get the window and the dash fixed (dash doesen't look all that bad light scratches) not to mention the radio. Anybody know a magical do everything shop? Life is peachy!
