April Autocross Events in DFW
Today's autocross at the Texas Motor Speeday Bus Lot was great!
The runs were a nice 50 to 60+ seconds (on the average) and the surface out there is so smooth which made it quite fun considering how it was raining that morning. My first run or two it was like driving on ice. Slipping everywhere but it was still a blast.
If you have never tried autocrossing, you don't know what you're missing. I highly recommend it to anyone who enjoys driving and has a spirit of competition. Plus, it's just a great way to spend a day with like-minded auto enthusiatst who are all very cool.
All I can say is -- you all should have been there. You should sign-up for the next event.

Thanks man! I felt pretty good about it considering I just got the car last month, it was my 2nd time autocrossing it, and was on stock suspension and tires. Not to mention the alignment was off - I just had it checked and I'll post that next.
So here is how it all came out. I got 4th place. I was 1.92 seconds off the 3rd place trophy (that's a pretty fast Honda Civic) and 3.71 seconds off 1st place. What this means is that I need to figure out how to be 7% faster -- just 7% faster! That would have given me a time of 50.958.
1Tm 166 Paul Subaru STi Silver 51.078
2Tm 95 Henry Subaru STi White 52.147
3T 91 Wayne Honda Civic Si Black 52.873
4 m 11 Jeremy Mistu Evo Red 54.794
5 27 Jeff Subaru Forester Silver 56.617
6 m 1 Chris Subaru STi Blue 57.781
By the way, Congratulations on winning the BSP class with a very impressive 49.132!

Not sure if you had planned on running the National Tour this weekend or not. But the surface is drastically better in the dry and heat. We ran the TnT earlier and wow what a difference compared to last weekend.
I'm sure it will be great this weekend. However, I will not be attending which is unfortunate. Hopefully next time.
I suppose it is now time to start the "May Autocross events in DFW" thread.
