After speaking with Kelly we are trying to put together another MSR day most likely on a Sunday afternoon(least busy). Everyone that went to the last day out sponsored by Don Herring had a great time. Ask your friends if they might be interested too. We might be able to rent out the whole track if we get enough people.

fyi-MSR is adding running out race curbing to the 1.7 so
they don't guarantee which track will be available, but they do say they'll honor the member day on one or the other..

they also requested that when we bring a lot of guests,
we limit it to Apex or otherwise not completely new drivers...

Last time I tried to do this, RobertK deleted the thread and I can't find my list of members to contact, but these are ones I remember or run into out there :

Remember, I got into trouble last time with no-shows and so I'm step'n outa the matching/hosting. Its up to you guests
(open to anyone who's done MSR or an Apex event) to
pm the members above to host you. This means you will be their guests for the day and responsible for getting them out there and only while they are on the premises will you be able to run...
costs:
$20/30minute session-this is what it costs members, so bring a bunch of twenties and pay your member directly
$10 firesuit (required) bring your own helmet or rent one there as well
gasoline available at entrance or RaceTrack in BenBrook is the cheapest, arrive full, never run w/less than 1/4tank and plan on about 6-10mpg maybe 1/4 tank each session
tire pressures: (get a gauge)+3left fr,+4on rt.front, +2rear (air avail@PST-behind the MSR office, go into their store and thank 'em for making air avail,check out their store)
bring a lotta water, for you and others...sunscreen etc

What would I have to do in order to go and hang out with you guys? When you say members do you mean NTEC or members of TMSR or just members of EvoM?

 

Count me in, too. I could use a couple hours in Cresson to get my head on straight.

 

He is referring to members of MSR. Those people who pay their annual dues and fees to use the track on open track days.

 

I should be able to go starting in two and a half weeks. After that, if you want to pick a day, let me know.

I should have mentioned that the members can sign one guest up to drive the track at MSR. Kelly tries to get us paired up with a member and we pay a fee to use the track. I cannot remember the exact cost. So don't worry and stay tuned for more info.
