Saturday July 26
Harris Hill Road, San Marcos, TX: http://harrishillroad.com/
Please join us for a rare opportunity: an S2KCA-sponsored HPDE track day at Harris Hill Road! This new racetrack features 1.8 miles of new asphalt covering twists, turns, and elevation changes. The event is capped at 45 cars so that all drivers will get plenty of uncrowded track time to learn and play. Instructors are provided to all first-timers. This track is a private, members-only facility and it's a special privilege to be invited to hold an event here.
NOTE: we reserve the right to remove anyone who, in our judgment, at the event is acting in a reckless or uncooperative way, and entry fees will not be refunded.
Registration fees are $170 for S2KCA Club Members and $185 for non-members.
Cars are required to have passed a tech inspection 30 days or less before the event by a qualified ASE mechanic.
==-> UPDATE: registration extended to Friday at 5 Central!
Follow this link for more information and registration: http://www.motorsportreg.com/index.c...E20DA0621ABD72
Note that the event is now open to all makes and models. This will be a great opportunity to compare notes with other Evo drivers, as well as learn from other types of cars.
THE TRACK
H2R is nestled in the hills of northeastern San Marcos, Texas. The course is very easily accessible, sitting approximately 2.5 miles east of IH-35, approximately 2 miles west of Texas Highway 21, and a little over 2.5 miles from the San Marcos airport.
We're right in your backyard. H2R is just 26 miles from downtown Austin and approximately 55 miles from downtown San Antonio.
H2R operations are housed in a 6,000 square foot clubhouse overlooking 150 acres of land with a very nice view of downtown San Marcos and Texas State University.
The track is a 1.8-mile asphalt road course, 36-feet wide. The pit lane consists of a 24-foot wide, 1/4-mile asphalt strip. The staging area includes the capacity for up to 60 cars -- including 30 covered parking spaces and 30 uncovered parking spaces.

I scanned the website,
do you know if there are any reciprocal track priveleges w/
MSR Cresson?
I'm interested, but
I see registration is due to close Wed. (tomorrow) and only 23 are registered..
pretty short notice

No reciprocal privileges that I know of... but that would be a question for H2R rather than our group. Reciprocal wouldn't help you with registration for this event anyway.
Don't worry about the numbers... we are purposely keeping this small for the benefit of the drivers. This is after all a new course. And we will be keeping registration open thru Friday at noon. There are also a dozen instructors not on the registration list (because we're free).
And, yes, short notice - but we purposely decided to open registration to all parties. You can see that we're fostering some diversity in the group of cars there, and I think that's a benefit so that you get perspectives from the other drivers. We'll have an Evo-smart instructor there too (me and 1 other).

This is your big chance for an HPDE at a great new track. Lots of challenges, and an Evo will be a natural for the types of curves and elevation changes this track has.
Any number of places to get the tech... just call around.
===> NOTE: registration is officially extended thru Friday 5 PM Central. But, DON'T WAIT!
Why? Because drivers will be split up amongst beginner and advanced students depending on their track experience. If, for example, a class fills up, then additional registrations for that class won't be able to be accepted.

DEVO330,
You may not remember me, but I put together/led one of, if not the, first Evo Hill Country drives long ago. I have the stock white 03 VIII.
Just to let you know, Jeff was actually the guy that put together the map and plan for that drive. He is a great car enthusiast and even a pretty ok driver ;-) (I still can barely talk about the time he scared the bejesus out of me with his driving skills while driving my car in a 350Z drive we led once :-D )
If any of you have any possibility of going to this, I highly recommend it. I haven't been to H2R yet and wanted to go to this event, but don't think my schedule is going to allow it.

I just got back from our team meeting where we finalized a lot of the details about how we're going to run the event. It's going to be a blast, and the run groups aren't going to be loaded up with a ton of cars. So this is your chance to come out and have plenty of wide open space to learn the newest track in Texas!
Hope you can make it!

Quicktime = proprietary.
There are several YouTube videos.
We have on-board video and video'd a couple of hours of practice time we did there last week. Plus, we'll be videoing in two run groups Saturday.
Yes, one shy evo who identified himself as a "Lancer".
