Evo Drive & Lunch Saturday 9/13

WE ARE GOOD TO GO

But you already knew that

See everyone at Good Eats!

Devo330 has been trying to set up one of these for a while. Let's do it!

JDW1479 has a new Evo and needs to break it in He suggested this route:

http://forums.s2kca.com/showthread.php?t=22197

Here is the google maps route

I say we follow the S2K plan and depart Good Eats in Denton around 10am.

JDW1479 has called around and suggests this restaurant (it has a nice mix of foods for you picky eaters )
http://www.rohmersrestaurant.com/

For those coming from Fort Worth or Arlington:
For anyone driving up from the south side of the metroplex, I will be leaving from the Wal-Mart parking lot at 360 and 20 at 8:30 a.m. sharp. Its a central location for everyone in the southern area to meet up and drive together up to Good Eats.

Our route will be north on 360, east on 183, north on the George Bush Tollway till 35E, north on 35E till Good Eats.

Just let me know if your going to meet me at the Wal-Mart so I have an idea on how many to expect.

For those coming from the East or Collin County:
For the Plano/Allen/McKinney/Tyler (*cough* youngevolution *cough*) crew, lets try to meet up at the Target parking lot on the NE corner of 121/Custer around 8:30am. We can then head straight up Custer to 380, take it to 288 and we'll end up right at Good Eats.

In!

Looks like fun. My daughter has a game that day, but if I can swing it, I'll be there!

Thanks for organizing this!

Everyone,

I have doing some research, and if we do the exact drive has the S2000 club did, we will end up in Muenster Tx for lunch. Most of the resturants in the town serve German food. I am not a big fan of German food, no disrespect, its just not for me.

I have called serveral resturants within the town and I explained to them what we were trying to organize and they all recommended this resturant:

http://www.rohmersrestaurant.com/

Apparently they have an assortment of foods. It is a good size resturant that could hold enough of us. If we do stop and eat in this town, my vote is for this resturant.

Also, if this drive happens, I will call ahead to give them a head count so they can be ready for us. I would suggest to start a list at the top of this forum with the people who are for sure going to go and then a seperate list for the "maybes" That way we can get an idea of how many people are going.

Everyone,

I just spoke with the DFW S2000 club member who organized the S2000 drive, Tom, as in Tom's Turbine Drive, and he is able to meet us at Good Eats with some of the S2000 guys. Tom knows the roads pretty well, (cause he lives in Muenster) so I think it would be benficial to have him there. Plus it will make the group bigger and give everyone a chance to meet new people. Anyone oppose to this?

That is a great route, one that we've taken many time before. Unfortunately, I will be out of town that weekend. Y'all have a great time and be careful!
