Have fun up there! take some video. I can't make it due to intranational non crossing boundries that I have enforced upon myself.

Plus I am not fast enough to AutoX!

Good luck up there. I would -- but it's not going to be feasible for me at this time.

However, I will be at the road course next weekend. And yes, I will be running in the Novice group so if you're there then we'll be competing head-to-head for the prize.

That is of course unless some Mini Cooper S in an easier PAX comes and steals the glory which is highly possible. Ahh well.

See you next weekend.

I'm looking at the results. How did that work? 4 regular runs then 4 pax runs?

I see you totally whipped up on the Novice PAX -- beating the second place by more then 3.4 seconds!!

So how was it?

Ya you do 4 runs in your straight class and then 4 runs in some sort of pax class (T, M, X, N). I can't run N there any more (local rule, one win in N = you move to something else).

It was fun, the guys are pretty cool. The STi driver gave me some good tips, and riding with him cut about 1.5 seconds off my time. He liked the power of the X... but was still whooping my butt. I am now tire and driver limited with the coilovers.

I'll post some videos here in a bit.

Wah ho... That's blinding acceleration out of that thing!

That looked like great fun! I may just have to head up there for an event sometime. That course looked amazing! Nice long sweepers, lots of room to accelerate, and 8 runs! Wow.

Next time, run master PAX :-)

Thanks!

I can't run Masters... that's 55 and older. I'd have to run Sportsman.

My father in law comes back from Algeria on 10/1, so we might head up there for the 10/5 autox and the oSu/aTm football game.

Oh ok. I was wondering because you would have been in 1st place the master's PAX. But in Sportsman PAX, well, 6th place. Still not bad since you had the 15th fastest raw time. Just after the... Dodge Dakota?!?!?

I need to drive up there for the next event. I mean after all.. a total of only 32 entrants? Are you kidding me? That itself is worth the trip up there.. that and 8 runs! Wow.

The Dakota is MEAN. Lowered, on r-compounds and the driver is really good.

The only problem with only 30 drivers? You run your *** off ******** cones. And since the competition (outside of STU, CSP and ESP) is pretty weak so you **** a LOT of cones.

Another nice thing, is that the 1st heat does all their runs, then you break for lunch. Then the 2nd heat does all their stuff. Pretty nice to get a real lunch break.

I don't think your wife will be pleased with you though if you go to the next event!

10/28 - Texas SCCA
10/5 - OK SCCA
10/13 - Equipe Rapide
10/14 - Divorce Court

^^ Yeah... something like that. Now maybe if I found a diamond ring or bracelet up there that I had to go pick-up.. then oh.. while I'm up here getting this special gift... while I'm waiting for them to wrap it up... I'm going to drive around this parking lot about 8 times before I go pick it up and head back home...

How could anyone possibly be mad about that? Only downside is that it could get expensive.
