No. You should really visit the tuning forums on the 1-9 section if you're interested in going to e85.

You mean running your car on it?

Sure, it eats rubber & plastic, requires significant fuel system upgrades (fuel pump, filters, injectors).

Or from an ecological perspective?
Ethanol production is the number one reason right now for the deforestation of the Brazilian rain forests. It's a contributing factor to the higher food prices that we are and will continue to see as more and more crop production is changed from wheat, soybeans and other crops to corn (which strips the land horribly).

Also, it takes a bunch of oil just to produce the ethanol... and then ethanol can't be transported in our current pipeline system, so it must be trucked to distribution centers -- which takes a ton of gas.

Ethanol is not a solution to our reliance on oil. As a race fuel it's fine, but as a solution? No.

Why do tons of people say they are running E85 on stock ecu with no problems? And what would you run E85 on then?

Because they do... they are using the stock computer but with a custom tune. I would use the stock computer with a KevinD tune.

Maybe that's where we got our signals crossed

lol these are some annoying questions in my MILE PER GALLON THREAD!. seriously, if you're self tuning and getting numbers like 13 mpg daily driving..HAHAHA than find a tuner to do it the right way, this last tank ive been driving crazy fast everywhere and got 16 mpg. oh, and you can do almost any thing with a stock ecu.

im getting some really annoying newbie self tuner PM's too. holy crap, i keep telling them I didnt tune it myself and they wont stop bugging me. "what are your injectors scaled to?" "is it stock ecu, i heard you cant do that", "can i have your maps". god so annoying and stupid.

these are far worse than the questions i bug kevind with.

on a woo hoo b*tches note: i used my turbo timer to do a quarter mile and going around a corner and up a hill i ran an 11.9 lol. i'm expecting 11.5 on a strip. looks like we'll have to do ennis after all.
