This is why I don't pay for a warrenty. Its also why I buy used. I know as soon as I get the car, as in one case, didn't make it off the lot before I modded it, I'm going to mod it.

whether you race it or not it's a "race car". changing drive train mounts changes how it's loaded and takes away some of the cushion built into it, and yes BMW spoils their owners because they have to pay too much for their cars in the first place.

I have been pleasantly surprised by Don Herring Mitsu in Irving. My clutch was on its last leg, you can confirm this with MrMTB I mean literally last leg haha. I bought an ACT clutch and Flywheel. They replaced it for free.!! Plus the AC unit had the bad knob on the cold to hot side, they replaced that as well as the lower/rear motor mount. This is after the extended warranty said I would have to pay for the AC disassembly if it was just trash, and not a broken part. The service manager just told me don't worry about it I'll take care of it and he DID. As far as BMW's go, they are just as bad, BMWNA is horrible, I had nothing but trouble with my 02 M3. Especially the main bearings. They were going to charge me almost 10k for a part that was recalled to begin with. That was before my Active Autowerke stg 2 super charger etc etc. If you mod a BMW forget it 99% of the time. The only place I know that will work with you is AutoBahn BMW and even then its very iiiiiffffffyyyy.. With BMW as long as you stay away from the M3's you won't really have many problems with them (the dealership)and yes there are as many mods for them as a Evo or Civic for that matter. Problem is because it's German its crazy/stupid expensive and you'd still get beat up on by a fp red evo on meth haha. Damn meth heads ;-)

Either you are the best driver ever or don't track with many BMW's. Do you watch much racing? BMW's are born and breed to compete especially the M3.The suspension is excellent and with a set of even better coilovers and a set of 4:10's on a M3 and you are gonna have to do alot better than 400+whp to NOT be passed by a BMW M3. I love my Evo but I have seen Miata's pass them

Damn everybody has such bad luck with warranty work. My dealer must love me because they've replaced 3 axels, and 1 flexplate/clutch and mine isn't exactly stock.

Diamler/chrysler FTW

To clarify Mitsubishi's policy, "it is NOT MMNA policy that the mere presence of modifications or aftermarket equipment is reason alone to deny coverage. If a vehicle is brought into [an authorized Mitsubishi Dealer] with a potential warrantable condition and it is determined, after reasonable diagnosis, that modification(s) or aftermarket equipment more than likely caused the problem condition, the repairs will not be covered under an MMNA warranty." This is a quote directly from Mitsu policy. I by no means always agree with Mitsu's decisions but 9 times out of 10 I have found miscommunication is the issue.
