vote Early and Often !!!!!!

The only requirement of our democracy is PARTICIPATION

here are some facts I found on the TX Secretary of States website:
http://www.sos.state.tx.us/elections...arlyvote.shtml

Early Voting

New - Find My Polling Place: Early voting polling place information is currently available from October 20th - 31st. Election Day polling place information will be available after 5:00 p.m. October 31st.
Once registered to vote in Texas, you can vote at your convenience beginning on the 17th day before an election and ending on the 4th day before election day in most elections. This is called early voting, and there are two types of early voting in Texas. Vote early in person (you don't need to vote in your precinct, you can cast your ballot at any early voting site in your county which is convenient to YOU) or vote early by mail (this is done by requesting an application for a ballot to be mailed to you or downloading an application form). Voting early in person is convenient and, unlike early voting by mail, you don't need an excuse.

Early voting timeline:
  • 60 days before Election Day-first day to submit an early voting by mail application;
  • 17 days before Election Day (12 days for May election) -early voting in person begins;
  • 7 days before Election Day-last day to submit an application for ballot by mail;
  • 4 days before Election Day-early voting in person ends;
  • Election Day-marked early ballots by mail must be returned by 7 p.m., unless mailed from outside the United States.
ps- this is a thread on HOW/WHEN/WHERE to vote- not WHICH CANDIDATE to vote for
for THAT, feel free to PM me

Bump

Early voting ends FRIDAY!

Austin has two mega voting centers. 5PM rush hour yesterday I stopped by and the parking lot was full. I figured I'd go in anyway to see how long the wait was and I was astonished! I was in line for 30 agonizing seconds, voted, then was out the door. I sacrificed a whole 5 minutes.

Seriously people... VOTE NOW.

I voted last week on Thursday. I had to wait in line for one hour and 30 mins.

Bump again!

The mega voting centers in Travis county have 100+ machines and are open until 9PM tonight!

You just need your voter registration card OR your drivers license.
