Ft Hood Evo Check-in
haha I found these fake signs on ebay http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...=263602_263622
sorry for the long read!
So, yesterday at evolution dynamics was a little rough. We got there around 11 and everything that could go wrong went wrong. I was having a stock ported manifold put on when I was up there to replace the terrible megan manifold that was previously installed and leaking. Of course multiple bolts broke off so he ended up having to replace the hot side housing of my turbo. While he was at it, he replaced my stock o2 housing as well. Then when we finally got to the tune my aem tru boost adjustment button decided it didn't want to work. Luckilly the crashed car they had had tru boost so he thru on the gauge from that car. All was well until it was throwing an error code because the wiring was shorting due to an unseated pin in the connector. So he cut off the connector from the wrecked car and saudered it in. The first run of tuning showed a large knock count which come to find out was from the downpipe rubbing on the oil pan. He took it off, did some adjusting and then finished the tune. We ended up leaving at around 730. It was a long day with a lot of hickups but a have nothing but good things to say about the shop and all the people that worked there. At one point there were porbably 12 evo guys there hanging out and working on their cars. I am happy with the results of my tune and I am glad I didn't do it at my house!
