Ugh, took the car to "Precision" today to get the oil changed. Ft. Hood housing doesn't like you working on the car in the residential area. Besides, it was only $15.00 to get it done (I supplied the oil and filter).

Anyway, they didn't reset the service counter, no big deal, but the guy clocked the wrong mileage on the service ticket because he couldn't read the counter correctly. Grrr Then I got in to drive off and my steering wheel was oily, then I noticed oil on the dash, the hood, etc. I am not impressed.

I also went down to Discount Tires today and asked about a new set of Hankook's for the RA, he quoted me $140 per tire. I told him I could order them from tire rack for $123, he told me he could get them to me for $120!!! So now I'm looking at $590.00 out the door. That works out to $27.50 per tire for balance, mounting, etc.

Anyone dealt with Discount Tires, they told me I could get free tire rotations under warranty, etc. I'm wondering how their customer service is, or if it's going to be a PITA to get them to do rotations, repairs, etc.

Also, the parts guy at Automax told me there in no inline fuel filter on the car?!?! He said the only fuel filter is in the fuel pump. Is this correct? Sounds odd to me.

I wouldve made that lube place pay to detail my ****. Discount will **** ur wheels up everytime. NTB is dope from what I've heard from a few friends. It's correct that there's only an in tank filter. Most cars nowadays have this setup and it's not required to change out since it comes as a whole assembly.

All I want is the tomei test pipe and catback exhaust on my evo x. Seems like every vendor on or off of this forum is saying they are sold out. I know its crazy priced to pay almost 1300 for a catback and 350 for a tp but to me im looking for the weight savings and titanium sound. Why are they all sold out how many people are jumping for joy spending that money to get these parts. If anyone knows where to get it and not have to wait four to six weeks please pm me!!! I have cancelled two different orders with companies that will go un-named but they are some of the hugest here and damn no luck

Other options for exhaust if single is AMS,
Dual is ETS, Buschur, Agency power, or HKS hi power

Im trying to be different and I know its hard here in Killeen but I dont want someone to think Im copying there style. I got my X late ok.... But I got one

Sorry for the whine session just irratating to cancel two orders when both vendors say no problem we have them....3 days later" Houston we have a problem" if your my friend ok I get the joke but if your calling me to screw with me joke not funny. Had to vent

I have to disgree with you on this one, NTB is a rip off. DT hooked me up every time I went there. They even tried to reprogram my TPMS sensors for free but couldnt. They treated my rims with very special care, Jonas is the guy that I dealt with.

My experience with NTB was horrible, they over charged me, and scratched my truck. When I told them about it all they said was sorry and wanted me to go get a quote. I said give me back my money for the mount and dismount and they said no they cant do that. They charged me for TPMS rebuild and mount kits and I didnt even have TPMS sensors on. It was a PITA to deal with them, I dont recommend them.

Looks like NTB is open tomorrow. I'll stop by and check 'em out. Thanks guys!

Edit: grrrr....good help is hard to find. Damned if I do, damned if I don't?!?!?

I will check out NTB and compare to Discount Tires.

Yes. All seasons. I got a set of white Rota Boost (+30) (18 x 8) and they fit rather nicely. I'll post some pictures in about two weeks as I'll be deadlined as I'm getting the 'ole snip...snip...

I'm surprised u got overpriced at NTB, they hooked my friend up and only charged 60 for mounting all new tires, balancing and disposal. Jonas is the guy who won't mess ur wheels up I believe. Heard it's a black guy, I've never personally been there yet.

Jonas is the assistant manager, he had some heavy set black guy mount my tires. They even put cardboard in between my old rims so they wouldnt scratch. They put my old tires in bags so I wouldnt get my truck dirty either.
