Yeah we meet everyday for work lol. The new one is mine, the other octane X is ***rlys, and the GG is Javier, we all work at Auto***.....
Sweet! So do you guys work in sales, financing, or do you all swing a wrench? Just wondering, as I have been back and forth to Automax several times over the last two weeks, paper work, ordering parts, etc. You all may have seen me, I just bought a new Rally Red Ralliart.

BTW, that new WW Evo sitting out front looks fantastic.

Wow, pressed for time. Yeah I'm sure it's gonna be with the threads. I usually run them in with a 3/8 electric impact, then go over by hand, so usually threading is really easy.

In lieu of family time I've given up on this spark plug issue (until tomorrow). Darwin, if you have a spare 5-10 minutes to check it out tomorrow, my number is 979-224-2847. I'll have family over tomorrow, so the earlier the better if at all possible. If not, I'll just put something over the engine bay to prevent moisture and worry about this when I get back on R&R.

That sounds good to me. Can you stop by tomorrow in the early afternoon?

Monkey, I would if I could but Wendy will be manning the Mamba in my absence.

I'm about to go play some PS2 with my son for the rest of the night. Darwin, if you're going to stop by, I really appreciate it and give me a call before hand so I know to be expecting you.

I'm a Vdub tech, sharlys a service advisor, and Javier is the mitsu tech. I think I did the state inspection on your car. Yeah the WW MR is pretty, drives nice too!

That is good **** that you are willing to help us out on our vehicles. I was told that none of you Auto*** workers could do that outside of work. They told me that you would get fired, I think someone was blowing smoke up my a$$. You willing to help me out with my issue?

Yeah, we can check it out, have you tried bleeding the system yet? What I do outside of work, is my business, not theirs. Besides, they can't fire me, I'm moses.

The weird thing is, that you say the clutch pedal went straight to the floor. Usually when an Evo trans is removed, even an sti, the slave cylinder is not disconnected, it is unbolted from the trans and left hanging intact, so the system is never cracked open. So air shouldn't be an issue cause the system was never open, unless the slave has failed, and usually it leaks through the rubber dust boot. Another issue, could be the throw out bearing, it's a pull type clutch, meaning the throw out bearing is attached to the clutch fork and mated to the pressure plate via locking detents on a ring. When the clutch is depressed the throw out bearing pulls the fingers on the pressure plate away from the friction disc, and you have no engagement. If the throw out bearing became detached from the pressure plate then that would explain why your pedal went to the floor, the pressure plate isn't bringing the pedal back up cause it's not attached. (Pedal feel depends on pressure plate spring tension) Another issue could be the master cylinder for the clutch, but I rarely ever see those fail. Either way, it should be a relatively easy issue to resolve. The exedy triple in the sti, performs flawlessly, I've ran the dual plate also, with no issues, except when I got motor oil all over it when I blew the last motor.

I also think that it might be the throw out bearing, I dont know if the Mitsu tech at Auto*** changed it when they put the clutch in. I wanted to try everything else before I just went ahead and dropped the tranny. There is no fuids anywhere at at all the whole area is bone dry (meaning leaks). The rubber boot on the slave, the lines, and the master cylinder have no leaks. Soceur77 and I tried checking for leak and checkig for fluid flow by removing one line at a time and had no luck. I think you would understand better if you would see it yourself.
