Well tonight I left BestBuy in Lewisville after some quick holiday shopping. Turned on to service road for I-35E heading south towards George Bush. Traffic was surprisingly light. As I approached the 1st intersection, going underneath 121. I happened to look to my left just as a Silverado decided he was going to run the red-light for the hell of it.
Just got home after spending 4 hours at the ER. Luckily, just a bruised knee and collar bone. Various cuts and bruises from glass, air bag, seat belt, etc. Nothing serious though.
The impact was so powerful, it spun him 180 degrees. Enough that we impacted twice. I was sent careening down the steep embankment. I was able to hit the brakes allmost immediately after the impact. Had I been knocked out, it's very possible I would've either rolled down the hill. Or ran into one of the support beams for the elevated bridge. It's had to tell. But even with the lowered Ohlins, the right rear wheel was about 8 inches off the ground.
I'm very impressed with how well the Evo held up. I'm not impressed with the seat though. The impact broke the slider, and my knee impacted the dashboard.
Carnage is below.

When the wing doesn't survive...you know its serious. Glad you're okay dude. Evo X has 7 complimentary airbags including a Driver side knee airbag, curtain airbags, and side seat airbags....I don't think a lawsuit is out of the question regarding your sustained injuries. Good luck. Glad to see you made it out of the hospital and able to post on this forum.
holy sh0t man!
Guess that's just what you needed to get that 505 badge you've been wanting!
Hopefully everything will work out. And take it easy the first couple days. They will be the worst!
