It's almost go time.
Well who needs Christmas in December when you can have it in January
. I got most of my parts in this last few days and now its starting to kill me. I even find my self racing home to see what is on my front door every day. All I can think about is working on the car. What was funny is I started buying parts before I even bought the car in December. Last few things I need now are my built motor clutch and to send my 35R off to FP for a little upgrade. I home by the end of the January to have everything here. But who knows if that will happen. If I could just sell my track bike I would have the motor on the way.

That would be a lot of fun. I have been wanting to do that with my wrx since its a beater. Don't know if you are planing on running in rally America or just for fun. But you have to start out with a FWD car before you can race a AWD car.
yeah i know it totally blows, funny thing is i already took my evo in the dirt and its not even paid off yet, ive spent more hours in the dirt than on the road course.
ill have to pick up a beater FWD car that can handle the abuse and place well for a season etc. etc.
but now i have the big turbo and i plan to do time attack next year after i get my coil overs and safety gear. until then its practice practice practice.

Get rid of the "stiffy" and do yourself a favor and buy some urethane motor mounts..keeps the vibration to a minimum and does what that thing is supposed to do , and does it rt.

666 evo, me and you are in the same boat brother. for the past 5 months ive been buying parts and just letting them accumulate to the point where one corner of my basement is cluttered with evo parts and my build is all i can think about.
im gonna do a little fp upgrade on my 35r as well, then im left with cams and BR bottom end to save up for. Tax refund should do the trick. good luck with the build!!

, but the motor mounts do the trick. im leaning towards a stiffy damper too though after my very short ground wire to the intake manifold broke, and i have the motor mounts too....i think the stiffy damper might make just the right combo with the mounts.
the thing i dont like about performance mounts, is most of them make alot of vibration go through the car which is not cool when daily driven...especially while stationary at the light...
