Don Herring service meetings

I went to a service meeting that i got in the mail. its pretty much a waste of time, talks about oil changes, taking your car to them for service and pretty much taking it there everytime. Its pretty informal for the normal people but most of you guys probably know about all of it already. I went cuse it was down the street and there was free food. I was hoping to meet a few other evo owners there..no luck

What WAS interesting is at the end you get a little pamphlet with information on service etc etc etc. But..what was stapled inside was great, a FREE oil change i asked him if i could use it on my evo and he said he doesn't see why not. Doesn't say none synthetic or anything like that haha

Figured i'd let u guys know about that, it was at the one in plano. it happens every two months so if you guys want a free oil change i can let u know the next time i get one of these in the mail

Is this the one where they said that clutches, brakes and alignments are covered for 1yr/12k miles?

Maybe I should go to one

nah, they'd claim that "abuse" or "normal wear and tear" isn't covered. I don't have the patience to deal with it any more.

If you let someone change your oil, make sure that you WATCH them put the 4.5 qts of Mobil 1 in. I don't let anyone touch my car except for KevinD or Denver...

After having the place I used to take it overfill my oil twice in a row, I've taken to doing my own oil changes again. It gives me a chance to curse without remorse and make good use of my coated garage.

And in the end, I know it was done right, and that's worth the time it takes.
